Lagos lawmaker Desmond Elliot (Surulere Constituency I) says he will seek re‑election and confirmed he has bought his nomination form.
He says returning to the House would make him a ranking member, which he believes will bring more benefits to Surulere.
Elliot thanked party leaders, community groups, youths and women for their support, and urged everyone to stay peaceful and united as elections approach.
He reaffirmed that his focus remains the continued development of Surulere and contributing to Lagos State’s growth.

I have never wished anyone not to succeed, but in Desmond Elliot's case, I hope he does not win this time. I thought he would do better,. He has not done anything for the people of Surulere. He careless about people. He enjoys the position and it's trapping but does not do the work. He is a disappointment. The people of Surulere deserve better. He is not serving the people, he is serving himself. Enough is enough.
