A Lagos High Court has ordered Stephanie Otobo to pay ₦100 million in damages to Apostle Johnson Suleman, concluding a long-running defamation battle between the two.

The judgment follows years of public controversy that began around 2017, when Otobo accused the cleric of having an affair with her and made several other serious allegations.
Suleman consistently denied the claims and subsequently filed a defamation suit, insisting the accusations were fabricated and damaging to his reputation.
According to court documents and reports, the judge ruled in Suleman’s favour, awarding ₦100 million as compensation for the harm caused. The court’s decision effectively brings closure to a dispute that had generated significant media attention and public debate over the years.
Suleman had initially sought over ₦1 billion in damages, but the court granted a smaller portion of the claim.
The ruling marks a major legal victory for the cleric and a definitive end to the high-profile case.

Deletetotal rubbish to the judiciary system
ReplyDeleteExactly our judicial system is a joke
DeleteBut if suleman was to pay 100million to otobo, our judiciary would be the best in the world. Law does work on women’s emotions, it deals with facts
DeleteHow is the justice system a joke in the case of Stephanie Otobo?
DeleteApostle Suleiman may, or not, be guilty, but his ground for lawsuit over an act which was said to be consensual was justified considering that the lawsuit was based on defamation.
Men:
If you must sleep with a woman who is not your wife, always ask for video recording of agreement to have sex and also a written and signed document that she would not tell the world about it
Lesson to all:
Always keep receipts of your kurukere moves pertaining to extra marital affairs.
God bless Apostle Suleiman and Stephanie Otobo.
Sexual sins are destructive.
Next....
If you accuse without EVIDENCE, you go defend cases Taya.
DeleteA man just went to Correctional Centre for cybertacking Adekunle Gold's family matter.
There was no rubbishing of the Judiciary on its judgment.
Whoever believes that "the judiciary is rubbish" should stay on the right side of the "Nation's rubbish laws" too
