French Lawmakers Approve Social Media Ban For Children Under 15 Years
French lawmakers have approved a new law that bans children under fifteen years from opening social media accounts. The decision follows rising concerns about the effect of online platforms on young users.
The bill requires social media companies to block access for children below the age limit and enforce stronger age checks. Parents will also gain more control over how their children use online platforms.
