NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS
One of my friends had been posting a series of WhatsApp statuses that strongly suggested his marriage had ended. He sounded deeply hurt, so I reached out to ask what had happened. After much persuasion, he finally opened up to me.
They were living in the UK when his wife called the police after he assaulted her. The incident nearly cost him his immigration status.
As he spoke, he insisted he had always been good to his wife. But I know this friend of mine. He has a very aggressive personality. He's an older man who was once involved in politics before relocating abroad. Stubborn, hot-tempered, and a typical traditional Yoruba man who believes he must always be in control.
I sympathised with him on the surface, but deep down, I knew he was a major part of the problem.
The marriage produced a beautiful daughter, but it eventually collapsed. The last I heard, he had returned to Nigeria to marry again.
Sadly, instead of the new woman asking questions about why his previous marriage failed or doing her due diligence, the excitement of marrying an "abroad husband" may make her ignore the warning signs. She could unknowingly be stepping into the same trap.
And if my friend doesn't change his character, we already have a fair idea of how this next marriage may end.
The sad reality is that many people focus on finding a new partner without first addressing the behaviours that destroyed the previous relationship. A new spouse cannot fix an old character.
Hmmmm!!!!

ONE MEAL A DAY CHALLENGE
So, for the one meal a day challenge....Tell us what you would eat as one meal for today? I will gift 5 people 20k each for a well balanced OMAD
So my one meal a day is shredded grilled chiclen, granish with onion and all the bell peppers...Shrimps friend with tomoatoes and spinach....Brown wheat bread by the side....A touch of indome noodles....soft tender roasted beef... then broccoli, mushrooms and spinach seasoned and fried together...In the end, the whole thing will be mixed together and eaten wth the brown bread...Note that it would be eaten in small portion over a period of three days.....
It is very delish
What is yours? It has to make sense!

When we die, our money stays in the bank—yet while we're alive, we never seem to have enough. The truth is, most of us leave far more behind than we ever spend.
Consider this: a Chinese tycoon passed away, leaving his widow $1.9 billion. She later married his chauffeur, who remarked:
"All along, I thought I was working for my boss. Now I realize—he was working for me."
The real lesson? Longevity matters more than luxury. A healthy body outlasts any fortune.

Consistency may be quiet, but its results eventually become impossible to ignore.
We often notice success only after it becomes visible. We see the completed book, the thriving organization, the respected leader, or the goal finally achieved. What we do not always see are the ordinary days that made the result possible.
Behind nearly every meaningful achievement are repeated acts of preparation, discipline, learning, service, and persistence. These actions may not attract attention in the moment, but they steadily create capability, confidence, and momentum.

DeleteMy OMAD is sweet potatoes with green leaf, ugu and water leaf garnish with tilapia fish.
ReplyDeleteFruits for the day are Blueberries and pomegranate.
I’m coming to your house but I don’t like Ugu leaves
DeleteFor my one meal a day, this is an easy choice. A generous plate of hot starch with rich banga soup loaded with fresh fish, snail and chicken. It has a good mix of protein, healthy fats and energy, so it keeps me full and satisfied for hours. Just plenty of water before and after, and I’m good till my next meal.
DeleteThe Starch is prepared by mixing cassava starch with hot water, oil and stirring continuously until it becomes smooth, stretchy and firm. The banga soup is cooked with fresh palm fruit extract, fresh fish, snail, chicken, crayfish, pepper, onions, seasoning cubes, salt and traditional spices like beletete/oburunbebe, with fresh scent leaves added at the end for that rich aroma.๐คค

Oh Stella. That OMAD is my plan for today..
ReplyDeleteMy OMAD would be boiled yam with vegetable sauce loaded with ugu, spinach, tomatoes, onions and bell peppers, grilled fish, boiled egg, avocado, cucumber and carrot salad, a bowl of mixed fruits (watermelon, pineapple and pawpaw), and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice.
This one no too much @HF?
DeleteLol
My brother ๐๐๐๐
DeletePortion control in mind. @vincent
Let me share my OMAD journey ๐น
ReplyDeleteTwo months ago, I started the OMAD (One Meal a Day) lifestyle, and the results have been worth it.
I start each day with two cups of water. Around 12-1pm, I have two boiled eggs with unsweetened green tea or ginger, cinnamon, and clove tea.
I snack on garden eggs most often. Then between 4:00–5:00 p.m., I enjoy a balanced meal of:
1. vegetables with okra soup and agidi or
2. Efo riro with oatmeal swallow or,
3 bitter leaf soup with one boiled unripe plantain.
I eat until I'm satisfied, not overly full.
And at night, I drink another cup of unsweetened green tea.
I have completely avoid soft drinks, fruit juice, bread, and sweets.
The result? I've lost 8 kg in just two months.
This journey has taught me that lasting weight loss doesn't come from starving yourself.it comes from consistency, discipline, and making better food choices every day.
GOOD AFTERNOON MY SDK FAMILY ๐น
This is healthy ๐ฅ Eat until satisfied not overfull ๐
DeleteWow! This is so impressive ๐๐ผ
DeleteWow. Bravo. Excellent ๐
DeleteThis is a good plan. Thanks for sharing
DeleteOver full leads to indigestion. Just small portion can do.
DeleteI want to do the same, but eggs nauseate me and I have ulcer. I observed my ulcer pang starts every 2 hours, so I start my day with plain oluji cocoa tea around 8 p.m., half a cup of yoghurt(could be greek) and granola around 11 a.m. I take one or 2 plain crackers and Oluji tea around 3 p.m.and I take my main meal around 5 p.m., which os half of my usual portion of food
DeleteThen, I take mixture of cucumber and apples with a little dressing of greek yoghurt when I close fro. Work around 9 p.m., some nights, I skip it.
Adunni dear you can say that again. Very healthy.
DeleteOsundi thanks dear
BF bedding thanks dear.
Ace. Glad you love it.
Anon 16: 30. You are right Thanks
Anon 17:15 so sorry. Ulcer can be so painful.

ReplyDeleteI've downloaded Michael since it was available but for some reason, I didn't want to watch on my phone. I'm home today, so i'm watching on TV and I'm so glad I didn't watch on phone. Even though I already know his history and some of the things that happened to him, I've laughed, smiles, danced, tapped my fingers, shed a little tear. Now I want to read a book of the same title and keep for my kids. I've always loved Michael and this movie made me miss him more.
ReplyDeleteThere was a talk about naming another king of Pop some years ago, Usher and R. Kelly were mentioned. Great artists but no one can be like Michael.
There can never be another King of Pop!!!
There can never be another Michael!!!
The real G.O.A.T!!!

My OMAD will be ugu and water leaf soup with goat meat and enough dried fish to be eaten with fufu then I wash down with homemade watermelon/orange juice.

ReplyDeleteMy one meal a day (OMAD) will be toast bread with millo and milk. My toast bread which will be prepared with four slices of bread, two eggs, sardine, a little quantity of grounded fresh tomato, habanero pepper and onion, and margarine. I'll spread the bread with the margarine on one side of each slice of bread, put two slices on the toast machine, then put the grounded tomato on the bread and spread round, I'll add the sardine and also spread round and lastly break one egg each on each slice and cover with the other two slices and allow to toast. I'll take it with the beverages mentioned above, I'm good to go till the next day.

My prayer has always been that anybody that will stress me, God should take them far away from me.
I have heard of that Goruntala, I think it has a seed.
For the one meal a day, I'll eat honey beans and stew with unripe plantain. It's so filling. Ate it this morning and I can barely move. Not a beans fan but e hungry me today.

ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Fam.
OMAD. My one meal for today is afang soup and well processed fufu. Currently eating it and that will be all for the day
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, my OMAD plan would be to so have my favourite white rice and beans laced with well prepared salad plus stew loaded with ample proteins like fish, beef, fried chicken et al in the mix without leaving out some naturally made fruit juice (it could be orange juice or pineapple juice or alternatively, a mixture of fruits basically). Amazing slurp it like no man's business.
ReplyDeleteThanks for staying glued to my comments every now and then!

~EDITED~
You and the ones above mentioning swallow, didn't you read Stella's memo on the day she talked about this OMAD? She said the meal plan will not include rice or swallow.
DeleteNa una sabi sha.
@Anon1612, this one is completely different from the one week plan that she talked about earlier. I read all her memos and sure know what you are on about but Stella just changed it as the "absolutely spontaneous" blogger that she is.
DeleteOMAD IS ALL SHADES OF DIFFERENT FROM ONE WEEK PLAN (OWP). Thanks for your time!
July is finally ending today, Lord i thank you.
ReplyDeleteThe month of July is always an emotional roller-coaster for me and i always pray it ends fast. We go again next year ๐
For my One Meal A Day(OMAD),
ReplyDeleteI'd go with grilled catfish, a small serving of ofada rice, vegetable sauce loaded with ugu, spinach, carrots, mushrooms, onions and bell peppers, a side of boiled sweet potato, half an avocado, and a cup of plain yogurt with a handful of mixed fruits (watermelon, pineapple and apple) for dessert.
It has protein, healthy fats, fibre, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals, so it should keep me full and energized for the day. Plus, it's tasty enough that I won't feel like I'm missing out!
I know Gorontula but I have not used it before...it's a sex enhancer
Good afternoon everyone ๐ฅฐ๐
Good day Stella and everyone.TGIF.
ReplyDeleteGorontula is also for women experiencing virginal dryness during sex.
My OMAD food suggestion goes like this.
ReplyDeleteUnripe plantain porridge cooked with spinach, deboned salmon fish, yellow pepper, crayfishh, onion and Palm oil.
Eat it with with vegetable salad made with lettuce, carrots, cabbage and two boiled eggs sliced into it before mixing with mayonnaise. Eat it around 12pm and drink a cup of chilled water. You are good to go as it contains all the classes of foods for a balanced diet.. You don't need any main meal again till the next day. Just snack on cucumber around 5pm or eat a slice of watermelon.
Good afternoon blog family. Hope we are all doing good? I'm hoping it doesn't rain today so that my clothes can get dry
ReplyDeleteFor my OMAD, I would have plantain pottage
Riped and unriped ones. I would be cooking it with a little palm oil, dried fish, scent leave and some fresh pepper. It is something I would love to have if I am to do OMAD and then have some watermelon ๐
