
The judge, identified as Mohammed Muktar, reportedly saw the armed men approaching from a distance. The gunmen entered the courtroom while firing shots and asking repeatedly where the judge was but acting quickly, Muktar escaped through a window moments before they reached him.
A resident who witnessed the attack said a commercial motorcyclist helped the judge flee the scene .
After discovering he had escaped, the attackers became angry and threatened to kill him if he ever returns to hold court in the community.
The Katsina State Police Command has not yet released an official statement on the attack.
And just like that, the chicken came home to roost.
