A man has divorced his wife after discovering she had ₦600,000 in her bank account but allegedly refused to contribute ₦24,000 for their daughter’s medical treatment and the delay that nearly cost the child her life.
During proceedings at The Justice Court Nigeria, the man emotionally recounted how he had always taken full financial responsibility for his family, carefully planning ahead despite the unstable nature of his job. He explained that when he fell on hard times, he had to borrow money from relatives to pay for his daughter’s hospital bills.
According to him, he later found out that his wife had over ₦600,000 saved throughout the ordeal but allegedly refused to release even a single naira for their daughter’s care.
The revelation led him to file for divorce, saying he could not remain in a marriage where his child’s life was endangered by his wife’s lack of compassion.
Inasmuch as I pray never to be in this position, I also pray never to be this kind of wife!

I've a friend that once she starts footing the bills at home, the husband will just leave everything for her. In fact, if he sees she has money, He will never accept he has a dime so for that reason she started hiding her money.
DeleteYou should first know what she wants to use the money for. Some women save like this Incase of emergency. They only bring our the money when there's an emergency.
DeleteRemember, a lot of men don't put effort to take care of their family when they notice that their wife is hardworking. They'd rather spend the extra money made on side chic's rather than their wives and kids so that's why many of the women choose to save without letting their husbands know.
This particular woman's own is extreme. She wants to copy from others but she wasn't sensitive enough to know that her husband has exhausted all he has left .
This saving pattern help a relative to be able to buy properties for her three adult children. Everybody was surprised and at thesame time praised her for having such idea.
I don't know the age of the daughter, but if I'm the one and have come of age, I will also disown the wicked.

The woman does not have sense. As the husband was running around for the money , she could have produced it under the guise that she too borrowed it from somewhere and needs to pay it back. Her own child.... the is a classic case of cutting of your nose to spite your face!!!! Thank God the child did not die. Whatever beef she has with the man, this is her own child. Na wa.
