Everyone with their culture, i went to a south south state for burial and i was amazed at the way the elders and youth were demanding for different things.Eating as if it was a carnival for a not so old woman.
ReplyDeleteThis list is even fair with what i witnessed.
Nothing concern yoruba with this kind list ooo
As far as am concerned, they're wicked. No matter how rich the bereaved is, they're mourning.
DeleteThis is not culture, nor is it tradition. This is just a product of greed and wickedness. Nearly all of those who endorsed the list likely identify with one religion or the other.
DeleteIf any amongst them claims to be Christian, ask them what scripture endorses such "demands". Did Christ ask his followers to burden bereaved people? There lies your answer.
If we all attend funerals without the minset of eating and drinking, we will be living closer to Christian life and teaching.
Pele. Your mom ate the ones brought by others so it's your turn to entertain. Na so life be nnam.
ReplyDeleteHow sure are you the poster’s mum had ate such before, stupid culture that they are supposed to all rise against including killing marriage list .
DeleteI listened to one podcast. The man said.. If you post everything you do for validation.. You are poor.
ReplyDeleteOne of the effects of social media, almost everyone is seeking validation.
DeleteThey didn't do this during my Dad's burial though. Family & relatives even brought food during the day 🤗
ReplyDeleteI know it must be our people but it can not be stopped because, even his own father or mother participated when it involved other people so, they believe it must get to everyone
ReplyDeleteCheck the region involved certainly not from where your name represents
DeleteRidiculous
ReplyDeleteThis lists is fair compare to the ones I attended..
ReplyDeleteThis list dey learn work nah !!!
Fair to me too. There is nothing extravagant about it. I will admit that it may be tough for those on a tight budget. Nothing shocking about this list.
DeleteThis is fair. But why should anyone have to spend this much on someone who is no more?
ReplyDeleteOnly? Here Catholic church alone will demand 6 crates crates of drinks both soft drinks and beer plus three coolers of food . One of Ndi nna, ndi nne and ndi choristers.
ReplyDeleteIf you like show igwe. It's the culture. Very crude. May her soul rest in peace.
