“Anybody who’s been married for like longer than 10years, if we’re gonna be very honest it’s not easy and I think we need to talk about that if you see people that’ve been married for 10years above and they kinda look happy that’s a big thing because they have worked through different things . Definitely God we actually prayed a lot and also have the best in-laws, i will say this if you’re not married and you meet your potential father in law and mother in law and they don’t really really like you don’t even try it”
She explained that staying married long term takes real work. Couples face tough times and must keep pushing through them.

My MIL is a Reverend but doesn't even like her son except when he gives her money or when he does what she wants. I try to keep away from their issues, and encourage hubby to always be nice no matter what,but she is complaining I'm not talking or engaging with her. Having great in laws is indeed a bliss. But peace of mind is better. Just be kind even if they don't like you, though it is draining
ReplyDeleteLol. What works for A may not work for B. Me, i am not putting myself through stress for anybody to like me. I have a family of my own and kids to raise with trying to run multiple businesses. If anyone do not like me, na their wahala. I wont visit or call you.
ReplyDeleteIf the son like, let him break his home because his family dont like me for their ego. I want to live long for my kids so all my energy is focused there. I have never really given 2 shits about people naturally. I quite enjoy my own company. If their son likes he can leave.
Better for me to offload such a stressful burden of hushand and his family. So i can focus on what truly brings me joy. Imagine some people sha. Parents who should be bringing everyone together are the ones causing issues in their childrens marriage cause they are bored or for their own ego.
I personally dont have the emotional strength for such. I will stay away and not accept anything from them and my kids stay away from people who dont lIke their mother too. If you dont like me, you cant like my kids. I dont play games at all, i dont come from such families.
