Mercy explained that whenever she tries to step up and handle the bills or take charge, it backfires, as she ends up getting called "bossy" or accused of not being respectful, even though she was just doing what was necessary.
When it comes to the bank account, Mercy Eke didn't mince words: she is officially off the market for men who earn less than her. She admitted she has been the provider in past relationships, but she’s officially over it. According to Mercy, when she has given money to partners in the past, it didn't lead to a partnership, it usually just led to a "thank you".
The conversation got even juicier when they discussed dating men with "prospects." Toke argued that ladies should look at what a person is currently doing to make their dreams a reality, but Mercy wasn't having it.
She shut it down by saying she has "been there and done that" and simply doesn't want to date anyone based on their potential anymore. The only exception? She admitted that if a man was already successful and fell on hard times, she would stand by him and support him through it but if he hasn't put in the work to "chop his money" beforehand, she’s not interested.
