The latest move comes from Sheggz’s legal team.
He says that he called off the relationship because of threatening messages from Bellas sister Sandra and bellas mum Irene Ikagbue....
In a letter dated August 26 2026, lawyers for Sheggz replied to claims from Bella’s side. They say an audit of Sheggz’s UK bank records shows he spent roughly £220,000 of his own money in the UK on the couple’s needs during their time together. That covers the roughly three and a half years they were a couple and includes periods when they visited or stayed in the UK.
The letter paints Sheggz as the main provider. It states that overall financial contributions during the relationship were about 75% from him and 25% from Bella. It lists several areas of spending:
• Rent and housing costs in Lagos that totalled more than ₦100 million across different properties from 2022 onward.
• UK accommodation that cost around £40,000 or more.
• Luxury gifts for Bella, including designer handbags, shoes, clothing, 24-carat gold jewellery and a Rolex watch.
• Vehicles made available to her in Nigeria (Porsche Cayenne, Wrangler Jeep, Range Rover) and in the UK (Mercedes-Benz CLA and BMW 4 Series).
• Multiple bank transfers, travel costs, household bills, food and other living expenses.
Sheggz’s lawyers deny that he took loans from Bella under false pretences. They say any money or items she provided were normal contributions inside the relationship, not loans obtained by fraud. They also reject claims that he broke a promise to marry without good reason, pointing to growing disagreements, what he saw as disrespectful behaviour, and pressure from members of Bella’s family.
The letter comes after Sheggz’s team earlier sent a cease and desist notice accusing Bella of defamatory statements about abuse, an alleged ₦11 million debt, and comments about him and his family. Bella’s lawyers rejected those claims, called them baseless, and accused Sheggz of taking loans under false pretences while also raising issues around a promise of marriage.
