The soldier, attached to the Nigerian Army Aviation Hangar in Minna, Niger State, appeared on TikTok influencer King Pedro’s live session on Saturday and asked for financial help.
Instead of responding with assistance, King Pedro publicly scolded him for disrespecting the uniform. “You have been in the Army for five years and you are wearing military uniform to come on live stream to beg for money. You don’t have respect for that uniform. They should lock you up and court-martial you,” Pedro said during the heated exchange.
According to reports, military authorities arrested the soldier at the 234 Battalion in Badagry, Lagos State, where he was currently staying. A military source confirmed the arrest, saying it followed the viral video that showed the soldier lying down and laughing while Pedro berated him.
King Pedro also claimed he had previously insulted another young soldier on live stream for similar conduct. “If you want to beg, wear civilian clothes. Don’t disgrace the Nigerian Army,” he added.

He wasn't smart.
