The driver that suspected them deserves an award!!!#
Two women were arrested in Jalingo, Taraba State, for allegedly trying to take three young girls, aged five and six, to Adamawa State.
The women reportedly rented a room in the same compound where the girls lived about two weeks earlier. They told the girls’ mothers they were taking them to the market but Instead, they took the girls to a motor park and arranged transport to Adamawa.
The driver became suspicious because the girls did not look like the women. He alerted his union members, who contacted the police. The women were then arrested.
Police said the women admitted taking the girls after deceiving their mothers.
The girls Ummul Shuaibu, Ummul Baba Gasal and Amina Abubakar were reunited with their families at the Taraba State Police Command.
The girls reportedly cried with joy and ran to their mothers when they saw them.
The police confirmed the arrests and said investigations are still ongoing.
People should stop being too trusting when it has to do with their kids and everything. The world is no longer the same.

ReplyDeleteAs for the mother of those children, no matter how tired you are how could you trust ppl you don’t know. You can’t even trust who you know. The level of carelessness here is too much. What is in a market that one child needs to go talk less of three.

ReplyDeleteAs usual victim shaming, not talking about the ability of the criminal to disarm you with fake hospitality and kindness to the point you think you are dealing with angels. Most of these criminal are like chameleon it takes God to expose them unless you have been a victim before.
ReplyDeleteNo anon, in my mind it is not victim shaming because the real victims do not have the capacity to make that choice for themselves. They depend on their parents to make right choices on their behalf. So, the mother who gave the okay for her children to go with strangers needs to be pulled up sternly. She is also teaching her children that anybody who comes and asks them to go somewhere with them they can go. She is not teaching them boundaries or self protection skills. She lacks protective instincts. How can a complete stranger, the taxi driver have better protective instincts and situational awareness than those children’s own mother.
DeleteIf the taxi driver was as careless as their mother only God knows where those girls would have ended up, in workhouses being enslaved, brothels, trafficked into other countries, organs harvested? The world is too wicked today not to get angry when we hear these stories. The mothers needs to face her portion of the anger just like the child stealers. We all make mistakes but putting your child into dangerous situations should not be one of them
