Actor Paul Sambo Taken To Court For Refusing To Vacate Abuja Property After Rent Expired

Nollywood actor Paul Sambo is facing a legal dispute over his continued stay in an Abuja property after his rent reportedly expired in June 2026.
The case is before the Chief District Court, Karu, FCT, under Suit No. C4/128/2026, with the next hearing scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

According to insiders, Sambo has not renewed his tenancy and has refused to vacate the property despite being served all required notices.
He is also accused of bringing thugs to intimidate other tenants.

Court documents further allege that his behaviour on the premises has become disruptive, including playing very loud music and keeping and slaughtering rams within the shared compound.

Today’s hearing is expected to determine the next steps for both the property owners and the actor, known for his roles in King of Boys, Sons of the Caliphate, among others.

  1. Some people like trouble, you have money to buy ram, but you don't want to pay house rent.

    Misplaced Priorities.

    2. If that was a strategy by your in-law to deprive his landlord of his right to rental income while he was completing his house then i will just say hmmmm.

    2. He doesn't have money for rent no problem. What has that got to do with someone who used their money to build a house for rental purposes so that they can have some income and reap the fruits of their labour.

I don't know which young actor or actress may be reading this, but you must have seen all the stories in the past. You must know all those before you who fell on some serious and embarrassing hard times. In the first five years of working and making money in your youth and health and strength, when you can push out dozens of movies in a year, I am begging you please purchase a property of your own. It does not have to be in the most exclusive part of town or even in a major city, just find a good town if that is what you can afford, a safe place with no flooding or wild animal problems and purchase a comfortable place to call your own. Get out of renting as soon as you can. Secure your roof over your head because from most of the stories we have seen it either health problems or renting cost that causes the majority of the financial distress later in life. If you look to own your place sooner and get out of renting then you can save more money for better security in the years when it will be harder to get roles and when the new 'it' ppl come along. The fame and glory you have today will not last forever. Learn from the mistakes of others and do not become a statistic. Do not try to keep up with anyone, especially if you are living a honest and pure life, just focus on your own capacity.

See this man, and the misery his life is in because he is renting. If he had his own place trust me he would take care of it, he wouldn't be going about being a nuisance, it is the misery of renting and knowing he doesn't own his own place and the frustration of having to pay high rent which keeps increasing year after year why he is doing all the shyt he is. His internal misery is the problem.

They fool themselves that they must live in Abuja or Lagos because a good life cannot happen in any other place. Then they get caught up in the cycle of owambes, forgetting that life needs to be prepared for and security is more important than aso ebi, bleeding money they don't have, packaging to impress those who are already secured, or bleeding money through toasting and fornicating. Life is getting more expensive each day and it is best to be wise while wisdom can still be found.
