ReplyDeleteIt always bothered me when I hear people say "my parents suffered for me so I must repay them."
ReplyDeleteI have a child and I have given so much into be a parent. I would hate to hear him one day say he did something nice for to repay me. Do it because you love me as your parent not because you think you have to repay me. No child needs that kind of pressure.

They have come with their supposedly stupid analysis. Walk in our parents shoes first and come back to preach to us. Our institution is broken with no social safety nets and they have spent all their earnings to raise you to be somebody, at old age, their pensions are not paid regularly because our system is not working and you are now thriving as a child living good life when they can barely feeds and you want them to suffer in silence? Children's have moral obligation to look after their parents in old age for their selflessness in raising you with their resources. To understand how parents could be so selfless, look at the rich amongst them they still look after us in old age giving us connections to good jobs and even living in their spare homes and enjoying their connections. Please go away with your stupid and selfish quote.
