On Thursday September 17, 2026 Justice Akintayo Aluko ruled that the earlier order was valid and backed by the Constitution and NDLEA laws, despite arguments from KC Luxury’s lawyer that the court lacked the power to grant it.
The NDLEA insisted the extension was needed to continue investigations, and the judge agreed, noting that drug‑related matters fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Federal High Court. He added that NDLEA had shown reasonable suspicion, making the detention lawful under Section 35.
The court described KC Luxury’s application as without merit and an abuse of process.
