Hmmmmmm.....
STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
A MAN KNOWS WHOM HE WANTS TO MARRY
I dated my university school boyfriend for 4 years amidst beating, emotional blackmail, cheating and abuse of all sort. I already knew he was not for me and decided to leave him as soon as I go for youth service. I went for my youth service and he went and did juju for me to come back. I don’t know how I came back to be honest because I already told myself I wasn’t going back to him.
Anyway, I was keeping a diary of some man that loved me and treated me well in my place of primary assignment and he happened to find the diary, read it and was crying like a child and telling everyone how much he loved and wanted to marry me . Odiegwuooo for 4 years mr man?
When I went back to my base, he stopped picking my calls, I said to myself “good riddance!” And moved on with my life. Then out of the blues, he called me to tell me that he is married ooo to a girl from my village. This was within 3 months of the incident. Ah ah! Oga na so you desperate for marriage and you wasted my 4 years and na so you loved me reach? Sotey you go all the way to my village to marry? And I said congratulations oo and he asked me whether I was not angry and I said for what now!
I moved on with my life, went to America, did nursing and met a gorgeous white dr at work and within 6 months of dating we got married and this is 24 years of love and happiness.
My point is that men always know who they want to marry. Even if they don’t have money, they will borrow from relatives and friends to marry the person. Once a man wants you for keep, you self go know! His behaviour and attitude is different.
This comment was inside Tuesdays Chronicle but it stood out like a story on its own and i decided to make it a full post......
You are so right that a man always knows

Exactly what I said yesterday. Most times it's not all about money, even though money is necessary. A man can actually love a woman, but his spirit doesn't see her as wife material. Yes, it's very possible. Marriage is a whole different dimension on its own.
ReplyDeleteWhen you eventually meet the woman meant for you as a man, nature itself makes way. Divine providence moves in. You don't need all the money in the world to propose and marry her. A simple ceremony is also ideal. The most important thing is to find clarity in your purpose and a partner who brings stability to you. It's not all about love most times, but stability. One can actually love someone without adding value to them.

Most men are players, and great laiers. That's why you shouldn't allow them to waste your time, better close your leg till you find the right guy.
ReplyDeleteYou dont know how you went back, but you said he did juju. 🤣🤣🤣. And he didnt waste your time, YOU DID.
ReplyDeleteVery correct. But the many without conscience will continue wasting a lady's time.
ReplyDeleteThis tory sweet me abeg.
I get your message oo but a man that doesn't have money should not borrow from family and friends so he can marry you. Starting a marriage with debt isn't ideal.
ReplyDeleteI hope the original poster from yesterday sends update.
ReplyDeleteGood You Both Went Your Separate Ways
ReplyDeleteThamkGod You Are Happy
Hello Iya Boys
He did not do any juju.
ReplyDeleteIf he couldn't invest in keeping you as a wife, is that the person who will invest in rigmaroling with juju???
You had low esteem and you were desperate for marriage, even with the repeated beating and abuse.
"When I went back to my base, he stopped picking my calls, I said to myself “good riddance! And moved on with my life."You were still calling him, hoping he would pick you. He was the one who rejected you. If he had picked your calls, you would have still kept clinging on.
There was never any juju. You just fell.
Simple.
4 whole years is more than enough to know which direction you're heading even if we're a dxnce.
If you enter a bus heading to Victoria Island, meanwhile the driver is going to Festac, will you sit like a mumu until you're seeing Badagry?
Won't you get down immediately and go your way and save your time?
The other woman was always there, YOU were the side chick.
When he was done fcuking around, he moved in on his long term victim.
I understand the need to whitewash a story for closure and ego sake but there is a danger in that,to you and gullible readers.
He did not waste your time. YOU wasted yours.
Men are inherently selfish, the fact that you are in a relationship does not mean you should outsource your common sense to your partner.
Stay focused. Very focused.
I wish you well.
Thanks Ebony Oge
DeleteThank you for this comment 👍
DeleteVery apt comment! She was calling but he didnt pick her calls and you said he used juju. I hate when people attribute their temporary love foolishness to jazz/juju, especially men.
DeleteIt could be true he did juju because back in the day men where the ones using juju to keep their women. Now it’s women using juju for big men.
ReplyDeleteThen there was touch and follow and the rest of them.
Your comment reminds me of a guy I knew way back in the 80s who used to pull some serious beauties with nothing to recommend him, not looks, family name, education, wealth, or even a good heart, I don’t even remember if he had a job, literally nothing. My aunt was convinced he was doing juju on those girls.
DeleteYes you are correct. I remember a very pretty tall lady in Aba in the 80s as well whose mum took to a native dr to cure her of ogbanje (water spirit) and she ended up marrying the native dr.
DeleteShe was a Very beautiful gorgeous girl with big ukwu and young men that fancied the girl were very furious. If you see the man, in his fifties while the girl was in her early 20s. The man was haggard, thin and lanky. The girl is what they call tomatoe jos, succulent. Chai life. It was very surprising because the man wasn’t even wealthy. He was a land lord of a public yard in slum of Aba then.
It is very possible then to use juju on women.
Congratulations nne
ReplyDeleteIn his small brain he wanted to spite you by marrying from your place. What a dumb man
