Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative

Hmmmm.....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
MIDLIFE CRISIS OR WHAT???

I think everything is wrong with me.
At 36, I’m the type that bathes with cold water no matter how chilling the weather gets but suddenly, I don’t want to take my bath often.
Sometimes I go two days without bathing, and if I do, I don’t cream myself. I don’t want to go to the loo. I hold it in even if I’m pressed, until it really cannot be held anymore before I go and free myself.
I don’t even know what is going on with me.
I put my pad on for two days when the flow is no longer heavy.
Could it be midlife crisis?

This definitely not midlife crisis ooooooh
This has more to do with some kind of mental health issue...I think you need help…...Please get it fast enough cos if your hygiene went this low and you dont smell yourself then your mind is going through something...maybe you are mentally drained? Pad on for two days ???? NO PLEASE!!!!

    1. Is the Apostle a psychologist or a psychiatrist? God has given each person his area of expertise. Let's allow those with the skills to treat serious illnesses do so. Prayers can help too

    2. It's got absolutely nothing to do with mental health issues. It's simply laziness!! You're reluctant to do these things because you just want to loaf around. Everything isn't linked with mental disorder please.

    3. @Sue , do you really believe a normal thinking person will want to wallow in dirt and filth? It's not laziness luv, she's going through something and needs attention.

    4. Do you mean the professionals who are committing suicide? Go google the percentage of psychiatrist and psychologist killing themselves or having their own mental health issues.

God remains our source! Go to God in prayers. HE has all the answers.

  2. Change pads before you kill yourself
It’s like you’re tired of life a bit
See someone and get some help
Did you grow up with bare access to the loo. I know people that got used to waiting to manage a bad one so they really avoid the bathroom
Thankfully although Naija boarding schools are notorious, I don’t mind using a good facility when needed.. Think about it. Your mind might be reacting to past trauma for facilities

Using one pad for two days no matter how light your period is, its very wrong and can lead to serious infection.
    All the best to you.

  11. Oh dear, I am so sorry you are going through this. At 36, this does not sound like a midlife crisis at all. It sounds like you are dealing with severe depression.
Depression doesn’t just make people cry; it often takes away your strength to do everyday things. brain go just enter "survival mode"

When our minds get overwhelmed or deeply exhausted, our bodies try to save energy by shutting down on basic things. And when mental health hits a wall, personal hygiene is usually the very first thing to drop. It shuts down your motivation. It shuts down your drive. You lose the energy to care for yourself. Person go just wake up con begin dey vex anyhow. For no apparent reason..Everything go just taya person. That is why basic things like bathing, creaming your skin, or even going to the bathroom suddenly feel like they require an impossible amount of energy. You are definitely not lazy, and you are not broken, this is a very real sign that your body and brain are completely drained and exhausted.

For now, I do want to gently urge you to be careful with a few of these things, though. Leaving a pad on for two days can cause really painful bacterial infections, and holding in your pee or poop can lead to serious issues like painful urinary tract infections or kidney issue or even severe constipation. Even if you don't have the energy for a full bath, just wash your face and private areas. If you cannot cream your whole body, just do your hands. Change your pad, even if the flow is light. You do not have to worry about a full shower or a perfect routine. Focus only on safety first. And take it Inch by inch.

You can't fight this all by yourself. Talk to a doctor, a therapist or a trusted friend who can help you right now. as soon as you can. This is not a personal failure or a lack of willpower. It is a health issue, and you deserve help to figure out why your energy and motivation have dropped so suddenly. Sending you lots of love. ♥️

    It is well!

  12. Could be that the hormonal changes are having some undesirable effects on you. Get some bloodwork done to see if you are low on key nutrients. You may have to adjust your diet. Exercising is good for hormone regulation, you should commit to daily exercise, even if it’s 30 minutes of walking. Get on a regular sleep schedule. 10-6, 11-7, pick one that works for you and make sure that you’re in bed at the correct time. Cut out excess sugars and heavy carbs, they become problematic in excess as we get older. Lean towards eating natural single ingredient foods. Drink good clean water and herbal teas. May you find what works and get back to yourself. The fact that you sent this in is a good sign that you’re recognizing unhealthy patterns and want to change.

  13. As many have suggested that depression might be the cause, ask yourself if most of your goals are being met. Things like this can cause you to lose focus and neglect your hygiene.
    See and experienced counsellor.
Whatever that is worrying you, try to live one day at a time.

  15. Hi Poster.
Sorry about this state you are in. Take it one day at a time. Sounds like clinical depression. You just lose joy and drive for even the basic. Please cut off sugar totally for a while. Look for original virgin coconut oil and take 1 teaspoonful per day. You can read more on it. That was what helped me when I was going through that phase of mental shutdown.
