Deaf Schoolgirls Earn Global Recognition With AI Menstrual‑Health App

Five deaf students from Government Secondary School, Kuje, Abuja have emerged as global finalists at the 2026 Technovation Girls World Summit in Bengaluru, India.

The team, called STRIM Girls, developed an AI‑powered app named Saving Pad to help girls ,especially deaf students and those with disabilities locate nearby sanitary pad banks, request menstrual products, and access menstrual‑health education.
Their innovation also enables NGOs and donor agencies to track pad distribution, monitor demand, and coordinate restocking, making menstrual support more efficient and accessible.
