The married woman Mary, accused actress Irewole Olaniyan of being involved with her husband for about three years. According to Mary’s posts, she first contacted Irewole privately as one woman to another and asked her to stay away from the man but Irewole allegedly replied that she did not know he was married and that he was not her type. Mary says she decided to let the issue rest at that point.
Later, Mary claims she discovered the contact continued. She alleges that her husband helped fund Irewole’s movie projects, trips (including one to South Africa in September 2024), expensive items, and lifestyle. Mary also says Irewole has reached out from different phone numbers and asked the man for money.
In her public posts she calls Irewole a “leech” and a home wrecker, tags the actress, and says she has held her peace long enough but can no longer stay quiet. She ends with an apology to family and friends for making the matter public.
Mary also shared screenshots of direct messages she says came from Irewole. In those messages the actress states she ended any involvement with the man a long time ago and accuses Mary of trying to damage her name for attention. Irewole is quoted as saying she has nothing left to fear and that Mary will “see my handwork.”
