.....So some Alist actors in Nollywood were honoured over the weekend in far away kenya in a programme tagged nollywood roadshow....a francis duru initiative in conjunction with the nigerian high commission in kenya.
So the roadshowers include desmond elliott,uche jombo,francis duru,patience ozokwor,monalisa chinda et al.
The official media partner for this event was WOW magazine represented by Julie Odia.

The Nollywood Road Show was actually an initiative of the Nigerian Export Promotion COuncil (NEPC). It was wholly organised and sponsored by the Council in conjuction with the Nigeria High COmmission in Kenya. The NEPC developed this initiative as a way of promoting its services export. The idea is to explore distribution channels for our Nollywood movies thereby earning foreign exchange for the industry and enhancing employment opportunities.
The Nollywood Road show is Initiative of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council. The inuagural Road Show started in Namibia in October 2010. The second one was the Kenya Road Show. All events are wholly organised and sponsored by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council in conjunction with the Nigeria High Commissions of the respective countries. The initiave is part of the NEPC's role of promoting export of services. Nollywood as a "product" has comparative advantage. NEPC's idea is to explore distribution channels of Nigerian movies and encourage collaborative or bilateral efforts between Nollywood and other African Artists. The project continue...
