Beware Of Employment Scam!

Yesterday Thursday 18,2013 at No 15 Adekunbi crescent, off toyin st,ikeja Angry job seekers invited the Police into the Scenario that unfolded before them.

A supposed employment firm that collects money from job applicants bit of more than they could chew as theri victims cried wolf to the police.

The firm collects money from unknowing victims in other to help them secure jobs in banks, oil companies and other multi national firm...The higher your expectation, the higher you pay.

Some Realised it was a scam and called in the Police who  whisked away the brains behind the money milking technique from unemployed people.

This is so terrible, why dupe unemployed people to become rich?

Pictures were taken by one of my Employed friend who was driving by oh.

    1. This evil act has been in existence since 10yrs ago. There this other firm in Ojuelegba called Esther breakthrough, they also have a branch office somewhere inn Ikeja. They claim to help people secure jobs and they will invite u to write a test which u will definitely pass and afterwards, u will be asked to pay a certain amount and they will post u to a company dat didn't even ask them to recruit any staff for them. When u get to the company, they will embarass u. This Esther breakthrough recruitment firm advertises on Tuesday and thursday Guardian newspapers. People should beware of them and so many other fake recruitment firms. Am speaking from experience cos I was a 3x victim of Esther breakthrough between 2006 and 2007.

  4. 'Pictures were taken by one of my employed friend who was driving by oh..' hahaha Epic!
Don't worry 'sterra' nobody is judging you eh , next time just keep it to urself as you can see he was so jobless at that point in time to take pictures.

Anyways Scams like this are easily detected just that majority of Nigerians are lazy always want the quick and easy way to get things done sharply 'short cut tinz', nobody wants to go thru d front door.

Since bribery and corruption is the order of the day nothing surprises me anymore, i mean y pay a huge sum of money for an employment that is nt even certain?

I think its a Nigerian tin #datz all

  7. Stella do you know how happy I am that those scammers have finally been arrested? Those guys almost fooled me as well.. They even send msgs to pple to come for interview on a public holiday.. They operate in another address apart for 15, Adekunbi Crescent.. Its just so sad the way Nigeria is.. Everyone wants to scam someone and make money at all cost.

  8. Because it's Nigeria, we don't know what's right or wrong anymore. Why pay a kobo 2 any1 in order 2 get employed in d 1st place? Is d police supposed 2 arrest only d fraudsters? D victims of d scam should also b arrested 4 trying 2 "pass through d window". #Corruption. Do d right thing in an absolute way, den GOD will help yu ABSOLUTELY and SPEEDILY. #FACT

  9. Nigeria has turned into a jungle. And in a jungle, what's d first rule? Survival. That's right, survival. The strong prey on the weak, the rich prey on the poor and so on. Scams like this are just another face to the horror we call Nigeria where life, as Hobbes said, is Nasty, Brutish and Short. Don't be suprised if you see those same guys walking the streets as free men within the week. If u put your faith in our Police and think the victims will get justice, then you are still dreaming.

  10. same here, have been dere once and the moment my sister and i got there ,we were lucky to see some neighbours of the employment scamming firm who told us wat they do there that police already came sumtime last yr to arrest them and they were left off the hook only for them to return and start their scamming process.police is not the solution to scamming in this country cos dey end up collecting bribe and release the culprits....so so sad

  15. @anonymous 1:25PM, i read all the comments here and don't see what triggered you to call a fellow human being like you a monkey! Remember, when you point a finger at somebody and curse, the remaining 4 fingers are pointing back at you! Which means you are also a monkey! You said it! i didn't! SMH.

  17. I was invited for an interview by this people, I receive the text on the 17th and it was stated the next day. I never applied to their company,it was suspicious because the text came like 5times & the time was short. I surf the internet & saw blogs that confirm my suspision that they are scam.My friends be careful of text/email u receive from this job scammers, they are always in a despirate move, always confirm online b4 u prepare to go and never give morning to anyone for employment. One more thing, bank job I applied for asked me to come for attitude test on sunday morning, someone said is a way to reduce applicant cos many will be undicided if to leave church and travel. This is so unfair, being unemployed does not make us despiradoes. Advice: never be in haste to avoid mistakes that might lead to regret, wen its ur time, no one can stop ur shine. **for the job, I decided am not going on a sunday**
