Thats the main gist there. How can they say the husbands allegations were debunked JUST BECAUSE EPSALUM SWORE WITH A QURAN???

There is more to this gist WALAHI.

na una wife body una go de get power, if una see una mate una no go fit fight o.

...and women, difficult as it may be, try to open up and be free from it all rather than give us part 1: I hit a mini van,
part 2, she hit a chair in office,
part 3, I am his baby, he can never hurt a fly....

all of this will not help you.

ok, check this story now! Internal bleeding! what da hell? what if she suffers a brain hemorrhage (God forbid)

Men please, be a man and stop acting a weakling. its not by pouncing on your wife that makes you the man of the house or the one in control. no matter what she's done, beating is not the way out.

    please, please please!!!

Men bashing seem to be the vogue when issues of Domestic Violence comes up.

Women who beat up their househelps - dashing them slaps here and there are Abusers too.

Mothers who beat their children for whatever reason are abusers also

Women who call their husbands names and hurl insults at them are abusers also.

Domestic violence is an all encompassing term that covers a whole lot and it can be emotional (depriving your husband sex except he meets certain demands), psychological (insults, name calling etc) and physical. I read thru the comments and see abusers condemning another abuser.

  19. My God, this is pathetic. When did Yoruba men start doing this rubbish??? No one i know growing up, in my immediate family did this. My brother tried and was immediately stopped. I wonder where they get it from??? My brother is quite a non violent person, so i know he must have lost it. Women and men, please respect yourselves. If you cant keep your mouth shut, and your hands to yourselves, stay away from marriage abeg. And men and women, when it comes to your marriage, keep outside forces and influences outside. Some listen to friends and family to disrespect their husbands, some men listen to friends on the best ways to discipline their wives. Even the ones that never grew up seeing such. People should respect each other, and stop putting your significant other down in any way. I wish this two luck. Men, if a woman is too toxic for you. Please leave her alone. With time she will grow up. A person that does not give others peace does not deserve consideration.

  28. My take on this issue is clear and strictly so....Domestic violence is a vicious, devilish tendency and should NEVER be tolerated. I agree that a lot of it goes unnoticed and unreported and I know that a LOT of women have either been maimed or killed by this unruly trend. I also understand that only she that wears the shoe knows how it fits; Truth is: this whole rubbish starts during Courtship or dating - if your boyfriend or fiancee hits you before you are married to him, take it or leave it, as soon as you two are married, the chance that he will hit you again and again stands at 95 percent because marriage has a lot of sour times that could breed aggression but require patience and if that patience has been lacking from the courtship period, forget it, he will abuse you even more. I read where someone mentioned not knowing where to run to or how to leave the relationship - like I said, only the person involved knows how difficult it is; but, if you do not have a family or friend to run to, please get to the Police station or if you have any Social welfare office close to you, go there and cry till they understand that you have had enough and I'm sure you will get some help. Some women usually say they are reluctant to leave because they are afraid of what will become of their children - the question is: if you die in the hands of the abusive man you call your husband, will your children not live without you? Infact, at that point, you will never even have any say whatsoever because you would have been dead and long gone. God forbid! So, be wise and leave while you still have your head on your shoulders. However, while I maintain that men do not have any excuses for hitting their wives, it is important for women to advise themselves too because some of these domestic abuses are caused by women themselves. Some men are the victims of their wives' indiscretions. So, women, please try and modify whatever behavioural traits that are wrong and inimical to family growth because those things could be the reason your husbands get provoked and pounce on you. Search within you and do the right thing. Marriage is a lovely institution, Men and Women, let's maintain its dignity. Look before you leap. I wish everyone the best in their respective marriages.

@Anonymous #31, you are a typical example of what I was just saying. What you did is called verbal abuse. Talking about cows and lagoon. So you feel that you are better than the guy who beats his wife? You are worse. STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK THE BONES BUT WORDS WILL BREAK THE HEART. May God give you a "retard" for a child so that you will appreciate what parents of Mentally Challenged children go thru. You think its an insult to call someone a "RETARD". I am sorry for your ignorance!
