Movie Producer Tade Ogidan Responds To Wife Battering Allegations.

HE SAYS ''She hit her nose on the steel
arm of a chair in my office''

Contrary to the reports that went viral - that veteran movie director/producer, the highly respected Tade Ogidan beats his wife and recently injured her on her forehead - Tade Ogidan has denied the accusations and he has this to say:
"Thanks for your concern. I just got back to Lagos from a trip abroad. It was Friday night in London that my phone started to ring off the hook with the news of this publication.
Anyone who knows me near well enough or even well enough will know that I CAN NEVER HIT A WOMAN. It just cant happen! If anyone ever upset me, I simply walk away or take a drive.
A friend of my woman whom they've been in rivalry from school days did that to mess her up. I only arrived to start to get a fairly clear gist of how this came to be. Yewande didn't post the document. In fact, she's been inconsolable since this publication. She is been crying endlessly. She is lost for what to do.

This is what happened:
Yewande is like a tomboy. She can play rough.
We were all in my office, the day after Children's day. I have been quite busy at work because of the reality show we are working on. That means I am not home everyday. Our major location is far along the Ajah axis; far from my home.

Yewande and the kids came to spend time with me in the office. When it was late, no NEPA, and the attempts to get the gen working [failed], she was ready to go home with the kids.

My little 5 year old girl was screaming that she didnt want to leave yet. Her mother insisted. The little girl ran into my office and shut the door to prevent her mom from taking her. I told Yewande to give her time. You know how mothers can be with their kids.

She insisted that they should leave as she didnt want to drive late. I blocked the door so she can give the girl a reprieve. She was playfully pulling me off the door. She does things like that all the time. She lost her grip and staggered into that three seater wrought iron chair in the open office. She obviously hit the ridge of her nose on the steel arm of that chair. The cut was managed.

She models and had obviously taken a photo of her face, for posterity (something to laugh at another time). One of her old school friends, with whom she's had rivalry from school days, stole the photo from another friend of hers and went viral with that damaging story. The obvious intention is to mess her up.

Sadly, one is caught in the firing line. This has created such a stress for her, our family, my workers, my friends, and most especially me.  You can imagine me having to spend time to explain this to everyone who knows me and finds this strange! Painfully for me, there are just so many people that I can attempt to explain this to.

She was quite worried that she's been running all over to ask how to manage this. Before I got back from the trip, she gave an explanation to another friend of hers to publish on the site that first sent out the false story.

Everybody is trying to manage her, so she wont affect her health from the outcome of this. That is what happened. I HAVE NEVER HIT A WOMAN, AND I JUST CANT. I counsel people who have issues and they respect me greatly for the wisdom I bring to the table. People in and outside this society hold me in high regard. I am ALWAYS mindful of anything I do anywhere.

This is a major distraction for me as I spend quality time to explain the situation to all who reach out to me (from all over the world).

Thanks for reaching out."
Meanwhile this is what his wife told SDK when asked how she got the nose injury "I Had an accident with my honda three weeks ago but i am fine now, it was minor. I hit my head on the steering wheel when a mini van hit my car from behind.my husband is even in the UK right now and he did not abuse me in any way. I am not defending him, if anyone has done anything to me, I will speak out. I am very well aware of domestic violence and I urge you to go on with your campaign against it but i was not assaulted by my loving husband - I was taking my kids to school and there was a gallop and a mini van hit me from behind,it was my fault because I didn't have my seat belt on. Tade ogidan cannot hurt a fly, I am not defending him but that's how he is. My Tade would never hit a woman, he is far older than me and he treats me like a baby''.

  16. Abeg...let everyone go mind their buisness!!!...everyone is ready to remove speck from peoples eyes yet the log is in their eyes...
I dont belive this was intentional and I am sure that the wife panicked and felt that if she says that she trips in her husbands office..it may appear as a cover up...so hence somewhere totally different from her husbands office...
Am sure people may say that why didnt Mr Ogidan stick to that story too...but guess what..if its leaked that the accident occurred at his office it becomes even less credible...
Mr and Mrs Ogidan...now you know that one has to be careful and not trust anyone especially as a celebrity that you are...
Dont take pictures and send to 'friends'.. Yewande..you are married to a very successfull man...it will be tough to find friends that means well for you especially if they are not as successful as you.

Please both of you dont explain anymore...you have already...and the truth is you dont owe anyone...

All the best and use this experience as a learning curve....

When you move on from this..people will Shut up.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You don't believe what exactly was not intentional. That she had an accident in her husband's office or that she had a car accident. As far as I'm concerned they have created this situation because their explanations are different. Because she is married to a successful man she should sit down there until she kills her abi? They need to explain more because right now Tade Ogidan appears as someone who beats his wife. If husband and wife story does not explain how the wife got blood on her face then they need to better clarify it.

  49. Stella oooo...ah this man shouldn't have done this. Did he not read his wife's rejoinder before making a mess of himself articulately? Ahh...besides, I detect a loop hole in Mr Ogidan's response. He's attributed this to Yewande's high school 'jealous friend'. Is he suggesting that the friend and Yewande have always dragged men's issues? Or is he the man that is making her friend 'jealous' of her? Perhaps he's dating/dated this friend? Hmmm cos me I don't know why any friend will cook up this against them o. If she's a bitter bitch as they claim, there are many other ways to strike them...she can release pics of Tade's numerous chicks to embarrass Yewande. Or she can set Yewande up with infidelity trails. Not this battery jargons that will only favor Yewande, and perhaps earn her empathy from pple...tho detrimental to Tade. Liars liars pants on fire...both hubby and wife. Shiorrr!

    ReplyDelete
  50. And why are people overly emphasizing the 'second wife' thing? What's that got to do with this matter? Is she the first to be married to a once married man? Or did his first wife announce she snatched the man? Since when did it become illegal or morally downright to marry a divorced dude? Why the re echo? So many of u are so shallow minded and it nauseates me. And I want to believe that it may be the aggrieved first wife or her caucus that are repeating this on this thread. Get over it mehn! Gosh!!!

  51. I never tire to comment on this their matter â„“â„“. Meanwhile, why didn't the wife tell Tade to speak on the issue ab-initio? As am sure if they rubbed minds, he would have insisted that she told the truth, or he would have come out to say this in the first place. Knowing how these celebs operate, and going by Tade's personality, he wouldn't have liked that his wife be known in public, much more allow her a press release. So my final conclusion on the matter is thus....both appear to operate with the media independently, and without recourse to the other..hence the incoherence. Ok bye!

    ReplyDelete
  52. And quite apart from the fact that they obviously lack communication btw themselves, I am certain that Mr Tade must have read his wife's rejoinder online even if she didn't convey to him direct. Or somebody must have atleast informed him verbatim. So there are many clauses to this their shameful details. Or perhaps Tade wants to clarify and to win back the hearts of his fans, against his wife's integrity. Which appears to be the MAJOR reason he speaks at all...So she would seem the liar afterall...some sort of pay back to her for first shaming him by releasing the pics at all. Eh eh eh!

    ReplyDelete
  53. they are both lying and i'm not surprised..... it was true that Yewande didnt send the picture to stella. but she asked one of her friend V to take her picture when she left the hospital. V now sent the picture to 2 close friend of yewande( one lives in lagos and the other one lives in UK) to tell them what has happened to Yewande and what what advise they should give her. those lady are trying to help Yewande because they have seen enough. this is not the first time of Tade beating his girlfriend( they are not married yet) So Yewande doesn't know if any of these 3 friend that has the picture sent it to stella directly or they sent it to someone else that did. With what i found out, Yewande was threathened by Tade Ogidan"s family( while Tade still in UK) that she is trying to tarnish Tade's image, so that's why she came out with that story of her having an accident.
I wish Tade can man up and accept that he made a mistake by laying hands on a mother of your children BUT he continue to lie. Im hoping this would put a stop to all this beating and no one would lose their life at end of the day. BTW, Tade said in his statement that that the picture is probably leaked by one of Yewande's rival in college. I found it funny because all the ladies that are involved are happily married to a very young man of their age, so dont i see any point in them sending that picture to stella. the bottom line is Yewande should stop covering for this guy cos it might get worse later and there wont be anyone to come to her rescue then. Yewande wake up, get your life together, get a job and move on with your life. Stop being a full house wife for nothing. We are not here to ridicule you but to shead light into something that is not right. A man should never lay hands on any woman, no matter what. It your life, you can use it the way it pleases u

This really is a domestic issue and no business of ours and the couple should be left alone to sort themselves out. But the couple's pathetic attempt to fool the public provokes one to say something.

  68. Women who are physically abused don't ever want to leave their marriage. I have a cousin that was almost killed by her hubby, she refused to leave the guy even when we tried to contribute money for her to get a house. Not that she was jobless, she had a good job. Talkless of those that are house wives. Eventually my cousin was pushed out forcefully, she had no choice but to move on, that was after she lost her job. Yewande, if you are reading this, it's your life, fix it.

  70. Truth is so easy to say but when am incident has 2 different versions, story don get K-leg. For me when couples have issues it should not always led to seperation. And i pray it doesnot happen to yewande. If this public uproar will save her from future domestic volence abuse let her bear whatever uproar will emanate from this issue because THIS TIMES WILL PASS. I feel for her bc everyone will be blaming her now 4 this scandal but if she had died this same people will ask why she didnt SHOUT. My people say person when use stone kill goat, na so so goat em go de kill. Uncle Tade may ur phone keep ringing from well meaning friends who r ashamed of what u have done. so keep explaining so u know y u should not hit a lady next time.

  73. It's not a crime to marry a divorcee, but its wrong to wreck someone marriage n hope to find peace, n that is what yewande did and till today her dowry has not even been paid , so she's not even a second wife. She is reaping the seed that she has sown. It's her time to cry, u never run around reach, u just de start.

  84. Sad for this lot. Everybody in meaning well or wanting to destroy the couple would have succeeded at the end of all this. A faction will be happy. A faction will be sad. The children will pay dearly all their lives for everybody's contribution.

  85. It was just going to be a matter of time. These two dont match in any way. This gang of girls lived rough while in school. Under the disguise of usher work at high profile events and big big events, they went off with big boys after event and made good money you know how. You can see the venom they are destroying a family with. And all of them will disappear when they have achieved. Responsible friends dont carry the issue in a home to the internet. When there is peace, the internet entertainment will live on. Shows the quality of friends this woman keeps.

  90. Uncle Tee's rep is messed and Yewande is a goner. If that is the plan, it is well executed.

    ReplyDelete
  91. The only family Uncle Tade has that i know are responsible pastors. I know Yewande well, and all they have ever showed her and her family is love and care, like they do to other people. They are not the kind of people to threaten anybody. If Uncle Tade has done anything wrong, they will not provide him unnecessary protection. I know that.

  92. It is absolutely shocking that Tade is saying he has never hit a woman in his life. His decision to issue this statement, which is grossly inconsistent with the story his coward wife told about the incident, is not only a disgrace to himself but to his parents, family, all his children, his in-laws, his ex-wife and not least all dignified Nigerians and fans who hold him dear. It will have been a lot better if he had kept his mouth shut. Everyone knows that issues do arise in relationships (though violence in any form should not be condoned). What dignifies one, and particularly a man at the centre of this sort of incident, is what they do afterwards. To begin peddling cheap lies all in effort to save image only goes to say more about this man so called Tade Ogidan. I will not attempt to repeat the inconsistencies already spotted and highlighted here by bloggers in the husband and wife’s stories. However, it remains a puzzle why the battered wife is still taking refuge in Tade’s sister’s house since the incident. It is also shocking that Tade’s sister and her husband harbouring the wife, and who are both pastors at Christ Embassy, have either failed or refused to call him to order. I do hope Tade will have a rethink, own up, be a man and seek help. The truth is already out there.

  95. From what we've read on another blog, it is said that Mr. Ogidan sent a private mail to his friends who went ahead to send it to bloggers.

  96. Amazing how poisonously determined some people are to destroy this two. After their destruction what next?

    ReplyDelete
  97. Always a difficult thing wadding in on domestic violence issues. Synonymous with date rape or child abuse allegations. First off, the victim/s need protection from the abuser/s.
I'd imagine and sincerely hope that the woman's friends and family have given her the support she needs to achieve this goal. All she needs to do is leave (to escape from the said battering).
However when such allegations are false we must realise that a man's reputation and years of hard work suffer. The obvious anomaly though is it seems she's taken refuge in a Pastor's house who happens to be his sister. This suggests the said Yewande doesn't want to leave. Hence the question of 'why not' prevails and subsequently casts some doubt on her allegation. More so if the man has provided accommodation for her, then what is she doing hanging around for a reconciliation? Or maybe she wasn't being abused after all. Would it not be a travesty of justice if Tade Ogidan is being wrongly vilified?
And that photo.... or photo op!!! I am yet to see a battered woman with perfect lips and also wide eyed and bushy tailed. Normally battered/swollen half closed eyes will be more apparent. So let's start a 'help Yewande leave appeal'. Write/call/text/email/blog the 'poor' woman to help exercise her free will i.e to escape her 'alleged' turmoil especailly as she seems the one person yet to realise the 'Tade freebie' ship is only available for cruise without him at the helm.

  98. why don't you ask Tade what happened to His first wife; the mother of His two sons....she was stripped naked in the middle of the night and sent packing....ask Him and let's hear is story about this....

  99. @BY...... U r so correct with ur comment!!!! Real insider you are

    ReplyDelete
  100. If yoU believe everything you read here, you will be the joke of the century. The one you call insider, how do you know? Its obvious there are people out there who are out to destroy these 2 and all they have to do is sleep on this story. Mr Ogidan does not have 2 sons from any 1st wife or 2nd or 3rd or nth. Soon you will change the story and say it is something else. These 2 people don't owe you any explanations. Move on. Get busy! If you still feel so bitter with Ogidan for whatever reason, go to his office since you know him so well and express your disgust or love or whatever to him. Don't waste peoples time here! You will hide here and throw stones yet cue up to receive of the man's goodness.

Perhaps you should confess to your unsuspecting Husband and his family that you were FUCKING another man Two Weeks before your wedding. It is good that the poor guy knows you for what you are.

  103. AJOKE for ur mouth?. u that confessed to have done Jazz to catch men of means. u should tell your husband all those escapades u were engaged in when things were rough for him and you were out of his house. You should tell the followers on this blog all those men you were doing, including Uncle xxxxx who was a former bank M.D. Tx to Senior A he rescued u. and it is said that this same Uncle Tee gave valuable financial and material support to your family when life was rough for you, Senior A and your kids. Or is that another lie too?
