Demons?..Suicide Thoughts?Drugs? Read This And Save Someone Please!
Dear Stella,
Three days ago "something" came into my room and was "pressing" me. I saw "its" reflection in my mirror and as a child of God I prayed fervently.. I called a sister in my church and we prayed together. I was afraid but I had to be strong. Why would anything come to attack me? .
Well ,last night was the worst night of my life! I felt insane nausea, heart palpitations like it was going to explode!I was restless and dizzy.
I tried to scream JESUS but nothing came out of my mouth. I heard strange noises and instantly I knew what I was. A "demon". But why me? I thought. I was so depressed and thought I was loosing my mind. Every sound seemed to be directed at me n I wondered what I did wrong. Why would anyone want to attack me? Who did I offend?
Hmmm,..I had no idea that My "demon" was a tablet called ciprofloxacin. Which I was taking as an anti biotic prescribed by a doctor up till this morning (I say "was" coz I've flushed it down the toilet!) This drugs' side effects is worse than HIV AIDS!..
Side effects of ciprofloxacin : Nausea, dizziness, light headedness, trouble sleeping, hallucinations, depression, convulsive seizures , heart palpitations, just to mention a few.
And in a worse case scenario.. Thoughts of suicide!
That was the demon that entered my room. Imagine! Hallucinations?!
That was the reflection in my mirror and the "pressing" I was feeling. A lot of people might have entered the wrong hands and wud be taken advantage of with these symptoms. Thank God for knowledge. Some medications cause more harm than good and could severe the case.
@Eve, there is sometn cAlled "individual differences". pple react to drugs diff. There is this very common drug called Septrin, if u see d way some pple react to it,u will vow not to take drugs again. I am a pharmacist ,I know wt am talking abt.
Actually we really have to be veri careful wen it cums to taken drugs. In my own situation, I was not feelng too well and I went to d hospital, a test was run on me where dey find out dat I am havng malaria and typhoid then d Doctor in charge prescribed Quinne and Augmentin for me. I was force to ask d Doc if I can use d drugs as a 3month pregnant woman in wich he said yes, Do u pple believed it dat I bled till d next day becos of d drugs I used?. I jus tank God becos nutty happen to my baby
Hmm, scary read..lol, thank God you were able to identfy and flush that Demon, I know that drug, all drugs have their side effects, most times they don't manifest when taken. Pressing and Demons do exist though, cos you concluded like they don't happen. And you don't need to offfend anybody for "people" to attack you.
Pressing demons really do exist o, they are soo real, they can also be familia spirits, But iif drugs also cause this then its best to stop no matter what
poster why don't you watch yourself for a week or two to know if it's really the drug. The drug might have brought out something that has been hidden for a long time...
That is why i don't take medications they have a way of adding to my problems. Thank God i don't fall sick apart from minor head aches which aspirin cures, if i have cold it is procold. Too much medication is toxic to the body.
Olodossssssss, aspirin doesn't cause ulcer , it only makes people who already have ulcer, makes their ulcer worse, infact aspirin is contraindicated for ulcers, it is an NSAIDs .
Everyone is semi paralysed during sleep to avoid inflicting danger onto ourselves like when running fighting etc in a dream... You probably had a lucid dream that felt real but was a dream.
Wait o, is ciproflaxin not a drug for typhoid? It is meant to be taken with paracetamol and blood capsule?? Hmm.....I have used that drug before and nothing happened to me o. I didn't see anybody pressing me or any of what you said, so, dear poster......maybe a demon from your village is really pursuing you or you bought expired drugs.
Meanwhile, I just read d story of d actress who stole but couldn't comment there as it seems comments have been closed, and I saw people calling her a thief and wishing her worse things than death. If you have never been with a married man(that's stealing anoda womans penis), you have never fornicated(that's stealing what is not legally yours), you have never kept quiet when u r on a bus and maybe the conductor has forgotten he hasn't asked u for money( that's stealing), etc, cast the first stone.................some of us are worse, we don't know the meaning of love, yet, we throw what we have in the face of others, we get envious when someone has what we have, etc and here we are judging the lady.........
I have taken Ciprofloxacin 500mg severally and I did not experience hallucination or other things as described by the writer. The writer probably experienced sleep paralysis or the it might just be a bad dream.
People differ. Ordinary flagyl that people take for everything, I'm super allergic to it. I've taken it just once for 7 days and I had to the weirdest rash that started on my neck and spread all over my body to a burn or some sort. I looked like a leopard. My face, scalp, hands, chest, back, legs stomach. Everywhere. People who saw me 2 days before I started wondered how I burned myself. It took months of strong steroids off and on to stop the burning sensation and skin color changes. it took months after that for my resilient skin to even out. Till now, the slightest irritation starts the leopard patch patch skin and I have to use steroid ointment. This is 3 years later o. My poor dermatologist was confused and it was my GP that figured it out months later. I'm allergic to aspirin and cataflan(?) as well. Normal stuff for most people.

The side effect of some drugs are worse than tthe ailment itself like P_alaxin,an antimalaria drug, fine it works but it will leave one very weak and unstable 4 like 3days
That's what antibiotics do.. When I had surgery in 2007 and was recovering at home, my doctor gave me antibiotics that gave me shock.. If not for my sis, it would have been a different story altogether.

I ve taken dat particular drug severally without experiencing all tjose things he mentioned, pple are really abusing dis social media thing, bringing out all manner of stories and encounters dat doesnt make sense. Sometimes, I am amazed at the number of ignorant people. A side effect doesnt necessarily mean everyone would experience the same thing, That is why we have something called allergies. Two people eat the same food and react differently. I am allergic to seafood but its a delicacy a lot of people enjoy. Lets us try to think through and analyze issues properly before we start typing our contributions on blogs.
Shut your ignorant mouth ASAP and stop disgracing your parents for sending you to school......gosh......so cos it did not happen to you it did not happen.....the drug leaflets (can bet my royal arse you never read any one) will even tell you the percentage of people that studies shows have had that side effect......don't let this your myopic mentality kill you please

The 'pressing thing' actually has a name. I'm too lazy to google it. It's actually common around the world. It's mainly caused by your sleeping position. I.e it only occurs when you sleep on your back. Story story story, yada, yafa, yada. ItS real sha. It does feel like a demon but it's said to be a medical condition.
I googled it sometime back Cos I experienced it more than 3times.

Even panadol has side effects on different people. If the poster isn't cured he/she probably wudnt have given us this testimony to learn from. The message is,In case u are seeing the above symptoms or any other unusual thing in ur life don't think its spiritual first. Check what medication ur on at that moment before concluding. Some people aren't getting better after being admitted in the hospital or even the psychriatc patients coz the medication is making them worse. This is soo sad. I'm glad I've learnt. Even cough syrup makes one high sef.
The aforementioned drug to my best of knowledge treats typhoid or urinary tracts ishes, had it prescribed by my doctor years ago when I had typhoid. Took d complete dose without any issue. Dear poster I hope u researched well before concluding it was the drug. If the side effects are this brutal any sane doctor will not prescribe it ooo
drugs in general comes with various side effects but the thing is if you have not previously noticed a side effect, there is the possibility that the doctor prescribing wont be aware of your supposed reactions to the drugs cuz some side effects occurs in 1 out of 100 patients. the side effects of drugs are sumtims related to even genetic makeup and what is called cytocrome P-450 in medical term dat varies from person to person.so make sure u tell your doctor or pharmacist next time your to be given medication the medications that u noticed u reacted to. this helps the pharmacist or doctor give u alternate medication with same therapeutic effect for ur supposed illness. for instance the victim of this post should opt for other broad spectrum antibiotics like azitromycin, cefuroxime etc as they also target the bacteria targeted by the ciprofloxacin also but probabely wont hv same side effects. in essence i advice everyone to make sure u report unusual feelings or reactions u notice anytime u take a particular medication as this helps u to get alternatives to the medication with no or less side effects...even the simple over the counter medication panadol has some sever side effects on some patient thus in such cases they opt for other analgesics.so please people should not refuse to take CIPROFLOXACIN jst cuz of this victims story as our body build up and genes are different thus the fact that the victim reacted to it doesnt mean everyone will experience such effect. follow your doctor's or pharmacist's advice on taking medication and report when u noticed unusual effects of medications..God bless us all and keep us healthy.
I am shocked when i read stupid messages with crazy conclusions like this. Cyproflaxin is used for treating infections particularly TYPHOID FEVER. Tell this person to go check herself properly instead of discouraging people from the right medications this way. I have been taking Cyproflaxin/Cyprotab to treat my typhoid for over 15 years, and if you go to places like UK or Europe where they don't believe that diseases like Typhoid do exist without your tablet/Cyprotab, you will just die for nothing. Unfortunately, your comment tends towards ignorance. Read Igwenium J's comment just before yours before you refer to someone elses comment as stupid. The message here is that it is a potential side effect. I eat things that other people have allergies to. I react badly to penicillin and many people take it without side effects. The moral here is always read through the leaflet in your medication so you can easily identify side effects if you have them. The leaflet might also have infirmation on things you shouldnt take along with your medication. Side effects are not sacrosanct they are "potentials"....phew!
Everyone reacts to different drugs different. What person A may be allergic to may not cause allergies in person B. Just like food. I remember when i went into shock, after receiving Levofloxacin injection in the hospital,the last thing i remembered ,was me seeing bumps on my body immediately after i got injected. Then i lost consciousness. So i've learnt always to stay away from Levofloxacin, but i still take Ciprofloxacin and nothing happens.
My take on this is that majority of Nigerians are unaware about their allergies. Allergies are things (food, drugs etc ) that you react negatively to. I think we should all take time to study ourselves and also endeavour to visit qualified health practitioners.
For me, am allergic to sulphadoxine, pyrimethamine, sulphur, aspirin, septrin and so on. On the food part, am allergic to diary products, nuts and so on. I make it a point of duty to tell my doctors my allergies so that they don't prescribe one for me.

Yes it does..makes your blood vessels thin,which could lead to ulcer and even blood leakages esp in diabetic patients.

What is wrong wit this generation? This is why depressed poeple or addicts don't come out to ask for help cos everyone is so 'holy' and judgemental. Poster said she is 'addicted', pls do ur tiny brains a favour and atleast google what addiction means. She can't help herself stop even though she wants to and knows very well that what she is doing is bad for her health.....what she needs is HELP not RIP IN ADVANCE! Haba! What's is wrong wit people? Tell her to get professional help, go for counselling or if u have fought such addiction before, then tell her ur experience and how u fought it, not open that bottomless pit u tag a mouth and talk trash...put a sock on it, pls! She already knows that wht she's addicted to is bad which is why she wants help.

ReplyDeleteThe side effect of some drugs are worse than tthe ailment itself like P_alaxin,an antimalaria drug, fine it works but it will leave one very weak and unstable 4 like 3days
ReplyDeleteThat's what antibiotics do.. When I had surgery in 2007 and was recovering at home, my doctor gave me antibiotics that gave me shock.. If not for my sis, it would have been a different story altogether.

ReplyDeleteSometimes, I am amazed at the number of ignorant people. A side effect doesnt necessarily mean everyone would experience the same thing, That is why we have something called allergies. Two people eat the same food and react differently. I am allergic to seafood but its a delicacy a lot of people enjoy. Lets us try to think through and analyze issues properly before we start typing our contributions on blogs.

ReplyDeleteThe 'pressing thing' actually has a name. I'm too lazy to google it. It's actually common around the world. It's mainly caused by your sleeping position. I.e it only occurs when you sleep on your back. Story story story, yada, yafa, yada. ItS real sha. It does feel like a demon but it's said to be a medical condition.

ReplyDeleteEven panadol has side effects on different people. If the poster isn't cured he/she probably wudnt have given us this testimony to learn from. The message is,In case u are seeing the above symptoms or any other unusual thing in ur life don't think its spiritual first. Check what medication ur on at that moment before concluding. Some people aren't getting better after being admitted in the hospital or even the psychriatc patients coz the medication is making them worse. This is soo sad. I'm glad I've learnt. Even cough syrup makes one high sef.
ReplyDeleteThe aforementioned drug to my best of knowledge treats typhoid or urinary tracts ishes, had it prescribed by my doctor years ago when I had typhoid. Took d complete dose without any issue. Dear poster I hope u researched well before concluding it was the drug. If the side effects are this brutal any sane doctor will not prescribe it ooo
ReplyDeletedrugs in general comes with various side effects but the thing is if you have not previously noticed a side effect, there is the possibility that the doctor prescribing wont be aware of your supposed reactions to the drugs cuz some side effects occurs in 1 out of 100 patients. the side effects of drugs are sumtims related to even genetic makeup and what is called cytocrome P-450 in medical term dat varies from person to person.so make sure u tell your doctor or pharmacist next time your to be given medication the medications that u noticed u reacted to. this helps the pharmacist or doctor give u alternate medication with same therapeutic effect for ur supposed illness. for instance the victim of this post should opt for other broad spectrum antibiotics like azitromycin, cefuroxime etc as they also target the bacteria targeted by the ciprofloxacin also but probabely wont hv same side effects. in essence i advice everyone to make sure u report unusual feelings or reactions u notice anytime u take a particular medication as this helps u to get alternatives to the medication with no or less side effects...even the simple over the counter medication panadol has some sever side effects on some patient thus in such cases they opt for other analgesics.so please people should not refuse to take CIPROFLOXACIN jst cuz of this victims story as our body build up and genes are different thus the fact that the victim reacted to it doesnt mean everyone will experience such effect. follow your doctor's or pharmacist's advice on taking medication and report when u noticed unusual effects of medications..God bless us all and keep us healthy.
ReplyDeleteI am shocked when i read stupid messages with crazy conclusions like this. Cyproflaxin is used for treating infections particularly TYPHOID FEVER. Tell this person to go check herself properly instead of discouraging people from the right medications this way. I have been taking Cyproflaxin/Cyprotab to treat my typhoid for over 15 years, and if you go to places like UK or Europe where they don't believe that diseases like Typhoid do exist without your tablet/Cyprotab, you will just die for nothing. DeleteUnfortunately, your comment tends towards ignorance. Read Igwenium J's comment just before yours before you refer to someone elses comment as stupid. The message here is that it is a potential side effect. I eat things that other people have allergies to. I react badly to penicillin and many people take it without side effects. The moral here is always read through the leaflet in your medication so you can easily identify side effects if you have them. The leaflet might also have infirmation on things you shouldnt take along with your medication. Side effects are not sacrosanct they are "potentials"....phew!

ReplyDeleteI remember when i went into shock, after receiving Levofloxacin injection in the hospital,the last thing i remembered ,was me seeing bumps on my body immediately after i got injected. Then i lost consciousness.
So i've learnt always to stay away from Levofloxacin, but i still take Ciprofloxacin and nothing happens.
My take on this is that majority of Nigerians are unaware about their allergies. Allergies are things (food, drugs etc ) that you react negatively to. I think we should all take time to study ourselves and also endeavour to visit qualified health practitioners.
ReplyDeleteFor me, am allergic to sulphadoxine, pyrimethamine, sulphur, aspirin, septrin and so on. On the food part, am allergic to diary products, nuts and so on. I make it a point of duty to tell my doctors my allergies so that they don't prescribe one for me.
