The child with them in the picture is one of the three children from his 10 year union with
Tokunbo Fabiyi.
Tokunbo has not been allowed physical or phone contact with her children since September 2013
I can imagine how shocked she will be to see her daughters picture on facebook in the arms of another woman!
I am sure Dino wants Tokunbo to know the kids are not missing her and someone else can take care of them.
Dino's lawyer says they can only give Tokunbo rights to her daughter from Monday to Friday until she is 12years old but deny her having any contact with the boys.
The abused woman is left licking her wounds and crying for her kids,whilst the abuser is going around town parading his new trophy and behaving like he won a wrestling match?
I know that it is none of my business but i know the journey of nine months,i know the pain of birthing a child,i know the sleepless nights a mother stays up tending to her child,the heart beat at their first smile,the fear when they are sick.....and now someone takes away that child and denies you ever seeing them?that's like killing Tokunbo but letting her live.
If nobody else can talk to Dino Melaye,GOD ALMIGHTY can and today Sunday January 5,2014,i submit this case at the feet of Baba God..let his will be done!
Dino,use your church mind and return those kids to their mum,at least you will have more time with your new (well old) trophy Alero.

In all that Dino accused Tokunbo, not once did he mention that she's a bad mother. So there's no question that she can take care of them. Some women in her situation end thier lives taking care of thier kids without re marrying. So Dino has no moral or legal justification to deprive her her kids. Whilst thier divorce is pending, the family court should have ruled a temp shared custody for both until the final hearing. So legally and morally Dino is wrong.

DeleteNot true. I'm married and I've had instances where I've called in some Elders to weigh into my marriage. I don't belong to the school of thought of keeping everything secret in a marriage even when there's fire on the mountain.
Its not the only the noise in the press that saved Clara Chime. The governor was called to order by some high ranking elders. Same can happen in Tokunbo/Dino's case.
Goldscent u may be right, but I agree more with anon12:55pm. The Tunubus and the Falanas of Nigeria may not be able to stop Dino from his shenanigans. Like the Anon said, it's a domestic issue and they can't be in one person's side bcos kids are involved and for posterity ...more so I think that the elders who should know may have tried and failed hence she resorted to the media for help. it's very complicated.. we can advice here but only her knows where it pinches. DeleteI worked with Toks in cityexpress bank, we were together in oceanic. You are a liar. You obviously were describing yourself. Toks always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. I was shocked when I read about her abuse because even when you could sense there was a problem that smile never left and she will crack a joke and laugh it off. Tokunbo, I hope you are reading this, God will vindicate you. So those times you came to work in a cab and I dropped you off @ Zone 6(now you know who I am) it's not that you really didn't feel like driving......-m crying as I am writing this. there are very very few women like you. ReplyDeleteInstead of 'harassing' Dino, it might be very useful to write a memo to Tokunbo herself. The kids are not hers alone so they both have rights to them. If she can prove he is an unfit father, she gets to keep the kids and he can be given visitation rights.
Sista Jane, you made sense initially but lost me towards the end and started spewing some nonsense. The fact that Dino has a history of DV, he has no right to keep those kids, and I repeat again, no right to keep them (lawyers in the house, abeg come help me). The reverse of what he proposed to Tokunbo should be given to Dino. Tokunbo should keep the kids and Dino would visit them. As far as I'm concerned, the kids are not safe with him, he can decide to beat the crap out of them just like he did the mom. Is there no family court in our country?

ReplyDeleteEither of both parents have a right to the children but.....truth be told, no other woman can take care of children as perfect as their mum especially when its not like their mum is a drunk, a prostitute or an irresponsible woman.

Providing money, taking the kids for shopping or hanging out and taking pictures on occasions when the child seem to look happy is not all there is to parenting. That I will call deceptive-good-dad/stepmum-parenting. #publicity parenting.
Alero has a daughter from a previous relationship, at every point in time, she will see to a 100% satisfaction of her own child before turning to see if the children from the wife of the man whom she stole are ok or needs love. In otherwords, tokunbo's kids will always be second fiddle to her.
At this particular juncture, I put it to the fabiyis, melayes, all and sundry interested in this case, that Tokunbo be given her kids while dino the right to visit whenever he wants.
Otherwise, I fear for those children.

Being a man goes way beyond having a private part, if you must move on and now hate Tokunboh , must you flaunt it all over face book like a high school student who just fell in love for the first time. The body language says it all! The woman cannot bear to touch the child in the 1st pic but can hold the dad's arm in the 2nd one. The children look so unhappy in the 2nd pic and the cut and sew the little girl is wearing is even oversize! They children do not have the look and finishing touch a good mother will give her children before they are taken out. It is so heart-rending.

Firstly take it to God in prayers secondly no matter what Mr Dino has done to you forgive him and try to ask him for forgiveness even when you know you are right thirdly ask your family to settle your rift on your behave even if it means going back to Mr Dino's house once that is done please take your kids and run as far as you get! Then go to court to ask for custody of the kids. In cases like this whoever has the kids has the upper hand! I pray God will teach you and console you because this is pure torture. Bless you

ReplyDelete@Uzochi, it's not only the sexual abuse - what of the emotional abuse? I am almost 50yrs but cannot forget what my dad's mistress used to do about 35yrs ago. She had a little girl about 3 years younger than me from her previous relationship. She would be given money to shop for me but would buy the same item for me and her daughter, I would get one item while her child would get 3-4 different colours of the same item! Her child got to travel abroad more than us and they would even accompany my brother (not her child) to and from school in England without the rest of us getting that luxury! I just hope diabolical things are not committed on those children.

I know how it felt when my relationship of 7yrs was going sour; i almost lost my mind even though our child was with me so i can feel your pain, a little bit of your pain. Three children? No that man has not been born! Before i digress let me tell you that no matter how bad, there's nothing God cannot do. Go on your knees. Speak to your children's lives daily. What is going on is not ordinary. Only very wicked people can orchestrate what i see before my eyes. But please pray. Pray for your kids lives, health, success. It is only through prayers you can prevail. Dino is playing mind's games with you. Do not allow yourself to go distraught. Don't go crazy even though that's the plot. Wash your, face, wear a little lipstick, hold your bible, plant a smile on and fight. Dino is not as powerful as he thinks. Overcome his mind games but first, the battle must be won on your knees.
