Air Pollution In IKORODU?.........Who Lives There?

I just got this in my inbox and feel it should be regarded as an SOS before it wipes out the people of Ikorodu!

The mail says

''I live at Oriokuta area of Agric bus-stop in Ikorodu. For the past two days now all the residents of oriokuta has been breathing in a very foul+acidic chemical filled air, this unbearable smelly chemical has sealed off the natural air we breathe in.

some folks say it was dumped in a building owned by one very rich Alhaji who doesn't even live in the area.Police were alerted yesterday but were alleged to have been paid off by this so called Alhaji.

The little kids are being affected more by this killer chemical has there has been reports of hospitalisation of many of them in our area since the evil chemicals were brought in.

Please Stella help us alert higher authorities if the police have chosen to ignore our plight.

From a concerned citizen of Nigeria''.

  2. This is not an issue to be handled by the police though, if the Chemical is really hazardous why put it in an area where people stay?

  4. It's sad that not even in ikorodu alone, even in most oil producing villages n the government cares less.
You would find cases of lesions, genetic and developmental deformities, behavior abnormalities, reproductive failures, and even death.
All they care about is looting, placing laws on gays n cyber crimes.

  8. All these politicians contesting for 2015 elections better come and help these people, so they can have their votes in 2015. My country sha, corruption will be the one to kill us. This is the slow death of a great country. How can police fold their hand because of small bribes, this is how people lose out on great blessings.
