Governor Akpabio seems to have turned Akwa Ibom into a paradise.wow!
By the time people are voting again, the only two governors who should get a standing ovation is Akpabio and Uduaghan.......the others should take a back seat....This is my two cents, please correct me if i am wrong.

  2. We know this man spends money like no man biz, but he has done well...Some governors would stay 8yr in office, loot the state dry and nothing would happen because we have a very corrupt system ( Akpabio u r not a saint but u ve tried )

  3. I sincerely like the president. I pity him most times because of all he has to go through as per Nigeria and her foes and woes. Well, he signed up for it, and uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. He has been resilient even as we bash him everyday.
But Nigerians should also learn to appreciate him when he does things the right way, it's not easy at all. And the people around him are so greedy and selfish that they fail to advise him accordingly. 2015 I am certain will have him continue as president, I can only hope that before then help will come and the BH insurgency will fizzle out ultimately.

Lastly I wish that the northerners will stop being heartless because of this their do or die desire to make one of theirs the president as a continuation of late y'aradua's reign. Peace must reign and resume in Nigeria

Oh why am I ranting when this is not the ranting post? Una no vex, I just feel like letting all out this Sunday morning. A lot has been going on in Nigeria lately. Too many lives lost everyday. Now Ebola has checked in.

    Happy Sunday Sdkers.

    2. Sis I respect your opinion about our dear president. However kindly point out one thing you can call an accomplishment. If he is doing well I believe his work will speak for itself. You talk about people around been "greedy and selfish" as if na me chose him cabinet for am. He may be a good man but romancing Corruption sends diff message to Nigerians. GOD BLESS YOU.

    3. Both of u are right o, couldn't agree less. However, @Best Oracle, it would be unfair to say that GEJ has never accomplished ANY thing good since becoming president.

I think his achievements with the INEC by practicing free and fair elections to a large extent should be applauded. Remember that the election that swore him in as the president officially after late Yaradua was the second of its kind in the history of Nigeria after the annulled June12 elections that Abiola won?

And subsequently other state level elections have followed suit with neat election free of malpractices. In addition to his accomplishments, what about the prosecutions of govt officials who loot funds? Although they are yet to completely sanitise this aspect but he has been able to introduce and effect the use of investigative panels against looters of public funds. Therefore creating a bit of fear in them. Unlike before that everyone felt that they were untouchable.

A classic example is Ibori who's still cooling off in the British jail. I think a few credits can be attributed to Jonathan...tho he can do better.

  19. Stella you need to compare what these governors get as monthly allocation to other states as they are on the top of monthly collection with states like Rivers and Bayelsa. Akwa Ibom alone gets what five states get. Performance should therefore be based on allocation received. I think Lagos and Rivers states are also doing well

  23. Uduaghan ? he is "last-minute.com Governor" he achieved noting in 7years, 12 months to the end of his administration he is rushing projects what is the reason for such decision? those elephant whitewash project he embarked on are substandard.
For Akpabio is not about building world class stadium is all about maintenance, example of such bad maintenance problem is the Abuja national stadium is now rotten after billions spent by OBJ administration . By the way Delta,Rivers,Akwaibom,Bayelsa, Governors has the highest allocation so whatever they spent is token compare to what they stole from it’s citizens.

  30. Anon 10: 48 must you bring Fashola in when it is obvious he is only planting flowers with the huge IGR he collects in Lagos state? Can't you just praise governor Akpabio for a job well done and move on? Do you know what amount Fashola generate in terms of revenue aside monthly federal allocation compare to what you see on ground in Lagos State? The likes of you forget to tell the world that Lagos was formally the capital of Nigeria which saw so much development because of federal presence but are quick to point out huge allocation of other states as if Lagos' allocation plus internally generated revenue (which other states do not benefit as a result of low population) is so insignificant. Wake up! Stella, I beg of you not to hide my post.

  31. I just love President Jonathan and Gov Akpabio. Akpabio is working the talk.Action not words. Even if he dey chop the money, his achievements speak for him. What about the numerous non performing governors who have stolen their states dry with nothing to show for it? Given all I've seen on TV so far about the huge transformation in AKS,Akpabio deserves a standing ovation. More grease to your elbow oga.
Our President is trying his best. Look at all the dangerous battles he has been facing and fighting since the commencement of his tenure. The man is doing his best biko. All these pressure his government is facing can break one. But he's soaring higher and higher. Ride on my dear president. God who gave you this heavy crown knows u are able and capable to deliver good dividends of democracy to your people and the Almighty will surely see you through.

  32. Stella pls leave delta governor alone. Tell him the truth so he will at leadt do smthing. I disagree with you. Delta state is like a village .from asaba to warri, sapele.its a pity.am talking from going there recently. Akpabio has tried. I have been to uyo , calabar, lagos, akure, owerri, enugu, aba. And i live in portharcourt. Its really a pity with our resources. They all steal but akpabio has at least stolen and done smthing. D others steal billions .allocation or not. Thry are given alot and do nothing. and walk freely as rich men witgout persecution. I grew up in portharcourt in those days it was a garden city.fine ,clean. I wish ameachi did not loose focus.he would have put his name on the map positively. Just little things they will do and it will go a long way. I read uzor kalu yesterday. Go and see the state he ruled.filthy. he didnt mention any achievement in his rant just betrayal. They do nothing, steal and go.nobidy criticises. Instead they get award for doing nothing. Stella pls be a patriotic nigerian and not tribalistic.use ur voice. Dnt fine tune obvious bad things. Even my nieces in delta state say oirtharcourt is fine when they come, thats how bad it is. Uduagan just like ibori are thieves. We hv accepted d fact dat they steal, nw we are begging dem to work. Smh

  33. Stella u don't know wat ur talking abt wen u mention Uduaghan as a performing gov. Dat guy is useless. Na 4 media he dey work. There is a very major road in d capital, Asaba called Okpanam road. He no fit work am. D road is an eyesore. Even major govt offices r located there o. Dis is just one little example. Other parts of d state r in a sorry state. Na only media dey hype am. Wait till he leaves u go hia people tlk true.
