Fire Burns Six-Year-Old Child To Death In Enugu

Premium times reports that the Police in Enugu have confirmed the death of a six-year-old child, Sochimaobi Nwatu, in a fire incident which occurred on January 17, at Awkunanaw, Enugu.
This is contained in a statement signed yesterday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ebere Amaraizu.



It said the incident which occurred at No. 9, Umueze St. Awkunanaw, gutted two flats in a two- storey building.

“It was discovered that the child was burnt to death during the incident.
“The police are yet to identify the cause of the incident because investigation is ongoing,’’ the statement said. 




So sad,RIP to the little one....So many bad news all over.na wah!

  4. SOCHIMAOBI.. (only God knows the Heart).. Such a beautiful name to a beutiful little child on this wicked world.. God please all these sad news should stop. Boko Haram is enough bad news already. Hmm God grant her parents the fortitude to bear the 6 year old's loss.


    btw, Harmattan is a Dry season that accelerates fire disaster. Please, parents be really careful especially those that uses boiler at home.

    Never neglect faulty electrical points.
    Do not keep candles at home.
    Try to keep your Gen set locked off somewhere,maybe your back yard or a far corridor.
    May sure the people you leave at home understand the risks involved in leaving the cooker knobs on... Let them always handle with care.
    No one should lock your kids at home. Even while your are away... your helps should be told sternly..
    Do not leave your Irons plugged without supervision...
    These are the little household tips that just came to mind this morning... It is well!
