Simultaneously Speaking From Both Sides Of The Mouth!

Perfect definition of talking from both sides of the mouth...all at once!

God is not mocked!...Do not use the name of the Lord my God in vain!

This is my take on this issue,my voice and I will not keep quiet.Preachers should just stay out of politics and stop creating tension....Face your work Sir!

I am out!.

    5. ...also because Jesus wasn't involved in politics doesn't mean pastors shouldn't. There are men in the bible who ruled and where Gods servant. Do you know what it means to be a king of nations? Its more powerful than being a president of one nation so you ignoramus' should stop reading the bible just to suit your thinking.

    6. But all over the bible, prophets have been directly involved with leadership

    7. My opinion is they could but at a minimal and modest level. Prophets of God were involved in politics in the bible.

    8. Well the Catholics have spoken, Father Mbaka is not the mouth of the catholics. So his comments remains with him
He said in one of his remarks he asked patience thrice for a contact she refused but eventually told the pastor with her to give his number. The pastor gave his PA's num because Mbaka has been calling its PA thatz picking. Well my 2 cents he might be angry Patience refused to disclose her contact

    2. Fellow Blog Visitors

I write to state that Dr. Orela is not my crush or "Someone" that I have a thing with on this Blog. Let's not resort to casting aspersions on the responsible person of Dr. Orela whom I greatly admire for her intelligent and helpful advice on this Blog. I have no relationship with Dr. Orela outside this sphere.

I am very pained that somebody here even went as far as directing hateful remarks on her good person. We are a virtual family here. Let the good love reign.

@ Dr. Orela, I am sorry you had to be involved in the drama I am enmeshed in at the moment. I trust with your level of maturity and good sense, you will understand that not everyone is as reasonable as expected.

@ Stella, thank you for posting this.

    3. I hardly comment on this blog or any other but I want to say that you are one of the few reasonable people on this blog. Stella surely is biased on this cos she is from the Niger delta and so sentimentally supports GEJ. I see nothing wrong in what Fr. Mbaka has done. He spoke out!! This is something many of our MOG will never do. He may have supported GEJ few momths ago,but he also may have come across information that we may not be privy to that made him change his mind. I applaud him for his courage. Even in the bible in times of old Herod,Nebuchadnezzar and other bad Kings were called out by men of God and warned of impending doom should they not change their ways. Those were the days when Men of God were Men of God. It is the duty of relgious leaders to speak out when things are not going well in any given place. Fr. Mbaka is a man who helps the poor and the needy. He pays the school fees of numerous children up to tertiary levels,he feeds the poor, helps the widows, paying them salaries, employing many of our youth. These are what our government should be doing yet he does it. If you dont know Rev. Fr. Mbaka please dont speak ill of him. He is a priest,YES but also human. He feels the pains of all that has been happening in the country. He stays without light,he buys gasoline at the very exhorbitant prices it is being sold at in the East where he stays. So why call him names for stating the obvious? Psychophancy and bigotry have blinded some people. I refuse to let SDK insult Rev. Fr. Mbaka, hence this write-up.

That was how he said that if Gov. Chimaroke of Enugu wins the election then he will resign from being a reverend....Chimaroke won....he never resigned.

He also condemned Ohakim for attacking a fellow reverend father... Years later when ohakim was about to contest for election, he changed mouth and said ohakim never did it.

Its clear the man only speaks up for the highest bidders. Jona probably didnt balance him or maybe buhari paid more. He is so shameless. His followers are even worse because they will gladly drink his poisoned kool-aide without ever questioning!

    1. @Cynthia, David was not a prophet. In fact David did not have Gods command to build His temple as he had shed so much blood. It was not a condemnation but evidence that God is principled. The task of leadership is worlds apart from the call to minister. Both require a different level of grace. A president may have to send his people to war. A man of God calls people to prayer. Both necessary but very different.
A better point to have made would be to remind us that Samuel annointed Saul but 'unannointed' him eventually.
Personally I cant say much about this particular priest except that this is nigeria where God is for sale.

  34. This was equally my take on this after i read it this morning.
From what i read, he said when first lady visited, they did a spiritual drama with 4 birds, 3 flew up but the healthiest refused to fly, this happened last year, he didnt tell them the consequences instead they were given hope then all of a sudden, they suddnly realised what it implies..
Despite all this sudden drama surrounding feb election.. my take is this
    I want change too..
We cant continue this way, we need to try someone else but the only prob i hav and have been asking questions is how many political parties do we hav in this country?
How come the tie is just between buhari and jonathan?
We need to hear other candidates too, maybe our change will come from there.

  36. Stella, I disagree with you on this one. A pastor just like you and I have a right to change his mind after he has reflected on what he has said to help the president. The catholic hierarchy have been very consistent on how they feel about this administration. Jonathan has spent a total of six years in office, I think it's about time he lets someone else rule because he is obviously not able to do the job.

    ReplyDelete
  37. They should. I agree. But there is nothing simultaneous in what he has said, as the speeches were made months apart. And he clearly stated that he got a new message after the "spiritual drama" of the "healthy" bird that refused to fly even after he did all he could to make it fly.
That the drama was an indication from God that Goodluck wasnt the right person for the nation

    ReplyDelete
  38. Pls men of God shouldn't stay out of politics. God himself is interested in who rules His people. From the days of old,God always has remember God used to send his servants to anoint kings? God has not changed He is still interested in His ppl. He said if we who r called by His name shall humble ourselves n pray,He'll hear from heaven n heal our Land. That my ppl us how interested God is n did u notice he says "my ppl who r called by my name"? What I don't like is pastors who dine n support. But pastors who carry d true message are pls welcome to speak. Btw, pastors sef go vote so why stay out?

  40. No dear Stella you are wrong when you said preachers should stay out of politics.
I believe they should speak out against the government no need for pretence. Father Mbake is still a respected man of God, more respected that 80% of money bag pastors. He is saying things the way the situation of Nigeria is wether we like it or not things are bad and our job is to criticise our government when they are not performing well. Just imagine a bad government without anyone critics and no one is speaking out.
Yes he complicated himself in some words but that doesn’t take away the message he sent out which is, things are bad in our country. Priest are not meant to pretend when they see things, although everything has been politicised, i am still of the believe that he said the right thing and no matter how everyone see his message he is saying the gospel truth about Nigeria situation. If our so called men of gods/imam don’t preach against the bad situation in the country, it means they are not doing their job.
All over the world men of God should be outspoken and speak out against governments. Pope is doing same thing, he spoke against the european union weeks ago, he speak against terrorist and bad leadership,he criticise American government and other governments. We know Jonathan should have done better if he did not surround himself with corrupt individuals, maybe he might have done a bit better if he wasn’t distracted by Boko Haram issue but at same time he should have fight harder but he never did. Our army has been brought to noting since the past years, our army used to defend other countries but the past years they can even defend Boko haram now i ask who’s fooling who?
When Tunde Bakare was preaching from his church about same issue we complained. Now if men of God who can preach about bad leadership can’t do so who else will? same politicians that can not be trusted? Father Mbake is a crusader/Rev/citizen so he is free to speak ill of our leaders.
Everything he said about the present government is in order.

    5. @Jay, you spoke your mind just like many people here but let me help you with few facts. Fr Mbaka is phenomenal in the eastern Nigeria, particularly Enugu but when it comes to politics, forget it, his preaching of the true state of the nation doesn't work, it has never worked.

He was confrontational with Chimaroke Nnamani in his first term that a deadly stampede in his adoration ground was alleged to be a handiwork of Chimaroke. When his re-election came, he fought against it that some people went to the same adoration ground to confess on their roles on the stampede. When the election came, Chimaroke won and the rev father was shocked.

To this present saga, if he likes, let him go to national TV or the eagle square to say whatever against Goodluck Jonathan, he won't win a single vote against him.

And face a glaring reality, the south east will never leave GEJ to vote for Buhari! If there's someone he's campaigning for by running GEJ down, let him come out and say it, but for Buhari, lie lie!

So enjoy the clip where someone is telling you what you know very well but you're helpless to changing it.

  49. You disappoint me Stella. So because they are Pastors are no longer Nigerians and they have no say in the affairs of the nation? Read your Bible. Pastors and Prophets are God's mouth piece to the nation. They are the heartbeat of the nation and the society at large and their work is to speak to the heart of the wicked leaders and the followers. I know you are angry because Jonathan is your South-south brother. Migwo!

  51. Stella, take the message and leave the messenger out of it please. Remember God spoke to Balaam through the mouth of a donkey.

All said and done, his new year message of unemployment, dilapidated schools and roads, non payment of civil servants, corruption, foreseeing job loss, insecurity, poverty in our land is 100% true.

The Country needs a drastic remedy, God help us.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The realities that will help you manage this man of god's paradox:

    1) The reverend father has a very strong religious followership but zero political followership. He fell out with Chimaroke Nnamani, used his adoration ground to campaign rigorously against his (Chimaroke) re-election but the governor won to his greatest chagrin.

    2) His positions on social and political events are always unstable, shortsighted and alternates with high frequency. He heard of Ohakim shoving a fellow rev fr; he took a position, Ohakim re-contesting; he took a new position, Ohakim lost his election and got kicked out political relevance; he took a different position.
    So expect another paradoxical video.

    3) In the Southeast where he has the strongest followership, he can't win a vote for Buhari by running GEJ down. Unless he comes out to say who his candidate is (in his next video), southeast faced with the candidatures of GEJ and Buhari will not give a vote to Buhari! (I'm talking of votes that count, not blog votes)
So if he likes, let him go to eagle square or the national telly to campaign for any candidate or run any down, reality #1 still holds.

Having said that, it's none of my business

If he initially supported GeJ and later found out more facts about his failure why can't he retract ? Well, we all are human being and are bound to change at anytime. I don't think he was offered money, probably somebody came to open his blind eyes. But let truth be told, the country is not in a good shape at all, more especially, kidnapping and Boko have kept this country in hostage. I remembered when the military used to be military, now they are turned to police, police turned to Manowar etc. There are too many blood shed in the country and these are somebody children, mother, father, sisters, brothers. It is ridiculous. he is not getting the needed cooperation from the main people in-charge to fight Boko and Boko is taking advantage of lack of support.

  56. Stella u live there in Europe and spewing trash, though i respect you as a god ournalist but dont be biased. What happened when Jonathan was kneeling down at the Redemption camp?Pastors should not speak about politics and the Boko Haram keep on killing Northern Christians everyday?Infact i get scared anytime i go to church now.I prefer staying at home.No worry until they start bombing ur waffy people in the south before u talk truth. In the previous regime Nigerians were more respected .No deportation of Nigerians from Togo back to Nigeria .Imagine Kenya downgrading 9ja.Increase in PHcn tariff but decrease in power supply and some people are smiling to the banks. No employment(graduates re useless),imagine someone saying it's better to learn a trade for 6yrs than to waist many yrs in sch?no security ,no water ,transportation is not save.Education is zero.going to north now is like going to the hell fire .
Jonathan might be a good man personally but his administration is worse and that is the fact don't be sentimental.

  57. Stella, i quiet agree with jay moore.. if the preachers/pastors don't speak up the citizens will still vote foolishly! All Fr.Mbaka said is what we are currently facing in Nigeria and we need change as we have not achieved anything from GEJ. If GEJ is voted into power again do you think he will have the interest of the poor masses at heart? He will first attend to those that donated for his campaign and keep crippling this nation! We need change!!
