What Color Is This Dress?It's Shutting Down The Internet!

This is the dress currently causing a global Internet meltdown. People all over the world cannot seem to agree on what color this dress is.

As funny as it is, a larger percentage of people believe this dress is WHITE AND GOLD, while some other people strongly believe it's BLUE AND BLACK.

It was not tweaked in any way, it's simply a dress photographed and uploaded on the Internet like several dresses before it.

How it began? A tumblr user, Swiked,  uploaded this on the Internet to seek other people's opinion after she and her friends argued heatedly on what color the dress actually is. 




Now the dress has gone viral all over tumblr, twitter, instagram, Facebook etc, confusing Internet users and generating lots of debates and conflicting opinions. 

There are lots of scientific theories, unscientific guesses and other crackpot ideas as the debate rages on about #thedress 

OMG i see white and gold but my friend sitting near me only sees blue and black !!!!

      First time i checked it was blue and black (and i was not in a good mood back then) now am calm i scrolled through and saw white and gold. On cnn i see it as white and gold
      as i checked again bèfore i posted it change to blue and black but the upper part is sort of goldish chocolate

    this caused a huge debate in my office.i saw blue black and i was one out of 10 people to see it that way.but i was actually vindicated when we decided to investigate further and saw the whoLe explanation stuff and how over 75 percent of people saw it as gold anD white but the cOlour is aCtually BLUE AND BLACK

    Who remembers Naija drycleaners. when the finish washing your white, they put some dye called ''blue'' and rinse the white in it. the color that comes out is the color of this dress. the other color i see here is gold.
