TRYING TO GET PREGNANT AFTER OVARIAN CYST OP
Hi Stella, please help me post this in doctors in house session..My name is Deborah, I am 29years old.
6 months ago I was operated for ovarian cyst and one of my ovaries was removed in the process. The doctor advised that I take in ASAP to avoid the cyst from reoccurring.
Now my periods are regular, I start to ovulate one week after my period - don't know if it's normal though.
I have sex immediately after my period and even when I am ovulating, yet I am not pregnant. Been trying for months now since after the operation but still no pregnancy. I even bought folic acid and welwoman preconception tablets to help but still nothing.
Please doctors in the house help a sister out, what do I do or take, I am scared and confused.

I agree. Sounds strange but it I really true that when you are not thinking about it, things happen. I am. A testimony. Got married after which people started disturbing me about baby and all, at some point I even started thinking something was wrong, tried everything, bought clear blue to keep track of my ovulation but for where, nothing happened. I continued this religiously for almost 1 year and then I stopped as I was getting tired of everything. Today l, I have a 22 month old. Got pregnant when I wasn't even thinking about it at all. I kept praying for a particular type of baby and I got exactly what I asked for and even more

DeleteStop thinking too much cos it won't allow you conceive on time and enjoy every moment with DH, pray about it, keep taking the folic acid and leave the rest to the one who is able to put the baby or babies in there. It is well. It will happen soon by God's grace.

ReplyDeleteI waited for 5 years,tried everything,spent so much money,yet nothing happened, I got tired and stopped visiting any clinics. My husband went for training for close to 3 months,I got pregnant d very month he came back. I am now a proud mum of 2 cute boys. So RELAX, GOD IS IN CONTROL.

I made one silly mistake during my service year and it's coming back to haunt me. I had this male friend (a corper too). One thing led to another, we had sex even though I had a steady boyfriend. Since then, I've had to combat with the "smelly totoh". Taken flagyl to no avail. Tried keto conazole. The moment I stop,it comes back worse. It has lingered for so long and has affected my self esteem so much. Imagine having to just pee in a toilet and someone asking if u pooed. I'm too embarrassed to visit a hospital. Please help me.
ReplyDeleteYou gave a sexually transmitted infection. Go to a hospital and get tested, if not treated on time it can affect your fertility.
DeleteMy dear u need to see a gynaecologist so u can get tested n treated asap, it could b u got an STI from the guy. Rem there is nothing there, u need not feel any shame. Its worse wen u hide it cos it could cause more damages to ur reproductive health. U have bin taking d wrong medication, more like taking procold for diarrhoea so u can as well go to a pharmacist, tell dem ur prblm,maybe a vaginal inserted drug can do it 4 u but d proper tin to do is to go 4 a lab test (vaginal swab and urine analysis). Trust me u will b fine afterwards n b proud of ursef.
DeleteAm a doctor, i calculated and calculated took all the supplements but the pregnancy came when i decided to focus on something else. so now my best advice is to try and remove your mind from it. focus on something else and continue to have sex and make sure u enjoy it especially now before kids come o! secondly, how do you know you ovulate 7 days after your period starts? the mid cycle pain is not enough to tell..the more accurate way to measure fertile period is to count backwards from the expected start of ur period 11-14 days. ( i hope that makes sense?) But assuming today is the 1st of August and your period starts today. if u normally have a 28 day cycle, u should expect your next period to start on the 28th. count back from the 28th 11-14 days. your fertile window is between the 14th and the 18th. don't stop having sex on the 14th, (or in ur case u say you should ovulate on the 7th) Finally, monitor ur cervical mucus. during the cycle it goes from watery to egg white like to thick. the most fertile period is when it is like egg white..if u try to pull it apart the mucus it is quite elastic the best description is like egg white. the next best time in terms of fertility is when it is watery like. had a nice time in church and a good meal..hence my long response..lol..but don't forget the most important thing is to cast your cares and worries on the Lord..

ReplyDeletePray well my sis, God is still in d business of giving babies. Take vitamin E (1000iu) daily during ovulation ur folic acid and vitamin c. God will back up ur efforts.

ReplyDeleteHello all,@ poster, my sister had the same surgery done years ago and with her single ovary she is a proud mother of two daughters and a son. The doctor gave same advise at the time but she had no boyfriend not to talk of husband, 2 or 3 years later she got married and took in, in months. Trust God, relax and enjoy your self cos all is well as the only problem u had was the cyst and its gone now. All the best
