Hello SDK...this is my omugwo chronicles
Had my baby at 34weeks after spending 1week in the hospital (had constant bp challenge so I was there 1 week before delivery to be monitored).Thank God for safe delivery, thank God for giving me such an amazing big sister.
I still spent 1 extra week post delivery, hubby slept in the ICU unit as my baby was in the incubator for 3 days.it was so stressful,i got fed up of hospital room. More stressful because breast milk refused to flow, even up to 2 months after delivery no breast milk cos the bp was still high.
I was too stressed,it was December period so mum couldn't come.no help at home, washed feeding bottles and all.can u all believe my mum came a month after my delivery and only stayed for 2weeks.mum in law is old(83) and came 3 days after she left,a woman who I was cooking for and tending to.no help at all,it was just too stressful,my breast milk did not flow at all but thank God for keeping my baby.
He is growing well,he is 1year and 9 months.pray my next omugwo chronicles will be better.
*83 year old MIL came for Omugwo?WOW!
Ok, next patient???
ReplyDeletePoster, your breast milk didn't flow not because of the high BP but most likely as a side effect of the anti hypertensive you were taking. High blood pressure won't affect your breast milk. I know someone this happened to...once her doctors realised it was a side effect of the particular antihypertensive she was on and changed her to a different one...her breastmilk flowed like a tap. Just telling you incase this happens in your next pregnancy. Cheers!
DeleteThank God your story is a positive one at least. Only that you were really stressed.
DeleteWhenever i observe that my mum won't come for omugwuo on time and I'm about to deliver, i just arrange with a "trusted" elderly woman to be coming every morning and evening to bath my baby and massage my body with hot water. It helps alot ooo.
'Keeping up' you are funny. Poster you are strong, remain strong and may God bless you to eat of the fruits of your labour.
DeleteYou are wicked 😂 next patient meaning what?
DeleteLearn not to depend on anyone no matter who bc expectations hurt
DeleteChai, I pity you sha, may he continue to grow in God's strength and protection.
ReplyDeleteStella, she said she came and did nothing now
*Larry was here*
Eeh yah....
ReplyDeleteThat your mama sef.....
Awww, I can't imagine what you went through..
ReplyDeleteI would have sent my omugwo chronicles but I'm still missing my mom who left on Sunday. Did I mention I cried when she left. Still crying. Thank God for my help, it still feels like my omugwo is going on.
Lol,please hurry and send it in.We wanna read. Was wondering what happened to our omugwo chronicles.Poster, sorry about all the stress you passed through. Hopefully, your next pregnancy and delivery will be smooth.
DeleteAwwwwwww...jisike o...send it in after crying pls...xoxoxo
DeletePraise the lord for that
ReplyDeletePoster, your baby is fine and that's the most important thing. You sound angry and ungrateful.
ReplyDeleteNo she doesn't, she only sounded stressed and thankful for her life and that of her baby. She is human and just needed to vent what happened pre and post delivery, I hope it makes her better. May God bless you OP
DeleteUna mouth no go kill una,one of this day*rubbish*
DeleteSee sounded ungrateful and you sounded stupid*gerrahia
Adisa, you get plenty sense. May God bless you to be a good husband when the time comes and give you a good wife and a great home. You sound like a man with a heart.
DeleteHian!!! Why will an 83yr old woman come for omugwo? Do do what kwanu?
ReplyDeleteAnd poster, were u really expecting a woman that old to do chores for you? Make una dey fear God ooh
I thank God for keeping you and your baby, you and hubby should plan well before the next baby comes.
Then the woman shouldn't have come at all. She should have waited till daughter in law is strong enough to cater to her.
Delete@Chikito that is not a nice thing to say..at all!
DeleteShe probably came to see her grand baby na. And I'm sure she helped the poster hold the baby while she washed or cooked
Its better she didn't come. She should have waited till like when the baby is 3 months or so. By then the poster would be very strong enough to take care of her.
DeleteYou think its easy to care for a new born? Nah, its not.
Your head dey house. Sensible girl.
DeleteThe woman is too old for Omugwo at 83, but it is not a crime for her to come and see her grand child. It is a dream come true. Do you know how much longer she has to live? Poster good of you to take care of her despite your condition. You were prone to postpartum depression but God saw you through. Next time please you and your hubby should plan well in advance to get help, maybe from an elderly househelp and home gadgets like dishwasher, washing machine and dryer etc if you don't have them already. Thank God for the good health of your baby and God bless you.
DeleteThere is no omugwo here
ReplyDeleteNa wao.Thank God for safe delivery.
ReplyDeleteInukwa!
ReplyDeleteSounds more like an omugwo rant, no vex oo
ReplyDeleteIts well wt u poster. Ur next pregnancy will b bp free n u will hav more than enof pampering in ur next omugwo. Amen
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteIt's not a nice thing to say but the correct and sensible thing to say.
DeleteI want to rant abeg, am tired of sucking breast for the thing to rise, am i not the one with the breast. i am tired o and i don't want to cheat. Was a virgin when i me t him, actively having sex till marriage and now bp drugs and all. I am tired,i have told him i want to buy dildo but i don't even know how to order or use. I have never cheated in my life but am sexually frustrated.
ReplyDelete😂😂😂😁😀 am sorry but this cracked me real good. I'm sure I wasn't suppose to laugh...
DeleteYour rant is confusing abeg but it looks interesting sha 😁😁😁😁.
DeleteAbeg copy it, edit it very well with correct details ooo and post it on in-house news 🙏🙏🙏🙏😂😂😂😂
Na real rant be this, you both should seek help.
DeleteYour annoyance is confusing oh...please read again and repost inugo?
DeleteAwwww sowiii bae Dnt worry will tell Mai mama to come help u for d next omugwo.
ReplyDeleteThank God for the joy of motherhood.
ReplyDelete39 weeks gone , might give birth through CS , no one will do omugwo for me ... I live alone with my husband mother died when I was 13 btw am 27 . I live outside the country, hopefully I will cope well. Trusting God . Baby dust to all TTC . Love you Stella, more fruitful years ahead
ReplyDeleteYou will cope, believe so, God will be your strength. Hopefully hubby will pitch in and help, but even if he doesn't don't worry, do your best at your pace and focus on your lovely new born. Take time out to pamper yourself with things you like and rest any opportunity you get. God bless you.
DeleteOwww, it is well with you
DeleteYou will be fine. Been there, done that and i have a beautiful toddler as proof
DeleteMy mum has never stayed more than two weeks, and she comes two weeks after I put to bed because of the nature of her job,she didn't come for my last child, and I Lost my mother in law same day,had my baby by 12am MIL died 7am same day,no house help,no friends,so if your mum spent only 2weeks with you don't feel bad, just thank God that you and your baby are OK
ReplyDeleteYou sound peeved at your mother and even your MIL.
ReplyDeleteYour mother tried in staying for 2 weeks. Remember that her life was put on hold for that duration, just for you. So, try and appreciate that fact, even your MIL as well.
Its natural for her mum to be around when her daughter puts to birth.
DeleteSame thing was done for her by her mum.
Thank God for keeping your baby. Don't blame your mum in-law, she's too old for that. God bless your home.
ReplyDeleteThank GOd for your MIL though old but she made it.
ReplyDelete83 year old? My husband's grandma was around that age when i had my child. I remember she offered to bath my baby when we travelled home but my husband use cunny cunny refuse o. Before we go hear say piking fall from mama hand.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like u had a tough one with this pregnancy. May God make it easier for you next time.
Yes oooo,my mum inlaw didn't come to do omugwo rather to stay with us small and see her last grand child,as hubby is her last child.bv that said 'ungrateful' no am not,i only tried to express how my 1st omugwo went.it stressed me out but thank God for the miracle of childbirth,am so grateful to him especially after waiting for 3years(and all the things I went through before the pregnancy)
ReplyDeleteMy sister you tried jare. It will be better for you next time.
DeleteSince you can't depend on your mum, arrange with someone in your church next time to cout and help you out.
Bv's and their comment.you see some people rather not post their stories.i didn't see the writer sound pained ooo, think she only penned her experience.lets all Have fun and quit critique abeg
ReplyDeleteAnon 12:48 dont worry or fret. God will send helpers to you. You will be surprised
ReplyDeleteMy mother in law is old too, I know for sure there is no omugwo for me,she sef needs omugwo
ReplyDeleteLmao
DeleteLol! God is your strength.
DeleteLol, @she sef needs omugwo
DeleteCaring for a newborn baby can be very very stressful especially when u are a first time mum.God bless all the mothers on SDK and God bless our mothers too, both those that came for omugwo and those that didn't come.
ReplyDelete*God bless my Angel in human form*
Ungrateful beast...lol. I tended to my baby all by myself and i was a first time mom. Went back to work exactly 4weeks after i birthed my baby. Come obodo oyibo come see as we do things ourselves right after delivery.
ReplyDeleteUr words are soothing to the ears my sister,u are indeed a super woman.so why name calling, ungrateful beast u said.i return it back to u.how ungrateful for a new mum who went thru a cs at 34wks,stressed by incubator visits and minimal help.u shaa get ur mouth(continuuuu)
DeleteWe have hear... Superwoman....
