A CRY FOR JUSTICE For Anita

This is wrong!...what is she supposed to do now? Please if you know anyone that can help send this to them and lets find out what really happened.

Good day Stella,my name is Anita meme and an ardent reader of your blog and I comment as anniemem.

I have a serious issue at hand in fact it's a matter that can kill me,please take out time to read cause I seek justice.i wrote WAEC in 2008 and I collected my original WAEC certificate in 2011 which I used to secure admission in the same 2011(benue State University makurdi) to study sociology.

I had five credits that includes mathematics and English which were a requirement for my admission.i had just graduated and was set for NYSC but Just two days ago, I came to school for my final clearance and to my greatest surprise, my school handed me a letter of expulsion, reasons being that English language in my WAEC result has been cancelled.

I was shocked and I almost died.

I immediately bought WAEC scratch card and checked online myself and truly my English language which has been C6 all these years ( the original certificate is with me) has mysteriously been cancelled.

The question now is how can WAEC cancel my result that they have already awarded me a certificate for and don't even deem it necessary to inform me. I am sending you this message so you can help me seek justice because WAEC is about to ruin my life, the whole of my four years in the university is at stake now. I have gone to WAEC office in Makurdi and they asked me to go to the headquarters in Lagos to complain.

I will attach a picture of my original WAEC certificate to this mail and a copy of the new alteration made by WAEC and the expulsion letter that I was given.

If you think you can help Anita, her email is anitameme2013@gmail.com

    1. But there is a problem here, look at the dates, she said she wrote waec in 2008 which can be seen in d original cert and d letter of expulsion from her school is saying she wrote waec in 2003.something I really fishy and waec should even be sued for such rubbish.

    2. Something is not clear in write up, you said you wrote the exam in 2008 and in your expulsion letter they wrote 2003 may June exam...are u sure it was not that year's result you used to secure that admission then before you got your 2008 own...come and explain yourself better before anyone can help you out

      Delete
    3. You wrote the exam 2008, normally, certificates are not issued immediately. So they decided to cancel a particular result after some years?

      Something is not right.

      I pray you get help.

    4. Yeepah! Someone is behind it.
Pray and fast for 3day. Pray every 12noon and 12mid night with some serious psalm and you will see.

    5. For those asking me to clarify the 2003 which is written on the letter,it was a typographical error from my university and if you check the registration nub on the letter you will see it tallies with the one on my waec certificate. thank you all for your prayers and concern may you not find your selves in such mess by his grace amen

    6. There is surely a mix up in the dates. Could be a mistake from Waec.

    1. Oh mbom oooh! But the university sef!!! Why so harsh now? Why are nigerian institutions so callous? Abroad there's a lot of empathy in such cases. They will seat and decide how best to compensate you. Both WAEC and the university are wrong oh God. . Do I even know anyone in WAEC? This is so sad.

    2. Poster first things first come to the headquarters in lagos and state your case. Let's knwo the root cause of this issue afterwards, get to a newspaper house and explain your story. Scan your cert and keep a softcopy in your email that you can always print out. When you get to waec office don't let that cert go anywhere you're not going. Before they act cheap. Whatever happens there is what you report to the newspaper house. So it won't be that you haven't tried to reach them. Also find a way to reach your registrar. Are you close to any lecturer or prof in school? Go and cry in his /her office they might have had previous experience on this issue. Kai! Now I'm wishing my mum wasn't retired. Let me see if she can still get anyone in that yeye waec.

    1. I am confused. The expulsion letter issued in August states that your entry credentials were written in 2003, but your certificate states 2008. You need to follow it up, before you get any help, try and make arrangements to come to WAEC Lagos. I pray you get the justice you seek.

    2. Oh shut it Anon. This is no joke. Mosi is very right. In the real world she would have been contacted by both the school and WAEC to say something was amiss and she should make herself avaialbLe fot the issues to be redressed ASAP. The day I said it here that I refused doing my masters in Nigeria, someone came for me (as usual 👀). Can you see why? Cos I know how many times unical tried frustrating me. At a point my mother came to school to see my dean (she's an educationist) to ask for my results cos she thought i was lieing. yet they couldn't tell her WHAT exactly the problem is. She almost cried that day. But for God who was on my side. Do u know how many of my classmates didnt bother returning some semesters? They left frustrated. You write exam your name is on attendance list yet your absent on result list. WHY? No answer. One idiot probably misplaced yiur script and doesnt want to be responsible for it, so students take the fall. You don't want to be a victim of school frustration I swear. This is just crass!!

    3. And what does the stupid school mean by expulsion, they did not even give her time to write another waec they just want to expel her after chopping school fees for four years. God please take control.

  26. Hian!

I am not understanding. Something went horribly, horribly wrong somewhere.

Was there a problem with English generally, the year you wrote?

Where you involved in any sort of exam malpractice on the day of said paper?

That Lily College is your school, not a special centre, yeah?

Have you gone to your alma mater to ask questions?

Something is not right about this.I don't know how these people work, but I doubt someone with a grudge or something was able to tamper with your result.

As it is now, your university has no business with this. You've got to go to WAEC head office, like you were told, and get to the root of this nightmare. As it stands, you might not go for service with the next batch, no thanks to this development.

I'm so sorry sweetheart. E no reach to take your life, okay? No matter the outcome of going to their head office, this is not a permanent problem. *hugs*

Rememberd when I registered for neco, those people made me cry just to get my photocard.. from rumuodumaya(exam centre) to borokiri(neco office) for close to a week. Careless set of people. We searched for it till we saw it were they kept it in one dirty corner.

  48. From what I noticed, the university's year of Waec is different from the one she presented. So, I think she should sort it out with the school first telling them that she didnt present a 2003 result but a 2008 result. Now, if the school insist that they are right, that is where Waec should come in. But until then, Anita you don't have any ish with Waec but Benue State University. The school should go back to their record. It is obvious that some staff made a mistake ignorantly.

  51. My younger sister told me a similar story which happens in her school, but the school did not issue her expulsion, rather they instructed her to bring her Neco result since she has credit in English in NECCO. Your school should not have done that they should have given you alternative instead.

    ReplyDelete
  52. But why was the letter from the school not stamped?and why will senate release names of those who graduated and come back to say you are expelled.
most schools carry out an extensive screening for students in 300level or a year to graduate for those whose programs exceeds four years, to verify the authenticity of their their previous results.
on the other hand why would WAEC cancel a result years after, who knows if some other persons too have been victims.

    i wish you luck oh
