'Love your neighbour as yourself'.
This is a common saying but are all neighbours lovable?
Right from my childhood days, I've had some terrible neighbours.
There was this man in my house back then when I was in Primary school. There was no week that he didn't fight with one of the neighbours, he would be fighting with a man and then he would call on his own wife to come face the wife of the man. It was chaos in that house before we finally moved to another house.
In our new house, there was this baba who would wake up every midnight to sing and pray loudly for at least one hour everyday. Then this other young guy would play loud music throughout Saturday and Sunday depriving other neighbours of rest. Another one, Mama Le would fight her husband at least twice a week around 5am.
I lived with all of these until I gained admission into higher institution.
Now, after several years l still managed to end up with this terrible neighbour who would not allow me enjoy my house rent fully. Her two kids (aged 4 and 2) can cry from morning till night, she sits outside with them outside their own apartment entrance, eat all sort of things and litter everywhere, then breeze blows them all to the front of my own apartment and then I do the cleaning. I have complained several times especially the crying part. No changes. These children would use cry to tell their mum that they want water. I don't even know what else to do. Maybe I should just endure and start loving her as myself.
