Four policemen have been dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force, after they were found culpable of burgling ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s Abuja residence.
They are Sgt Musa Musa; Force No. 436691; Sgt John Nanpak, F/No. 235422; Sgt Ogah Audu, F/No. 261898; Sgt Gabriel Ugah, F/No. 425210.
The affected ex-police officers were tried by the FCT Police Command, which had promised to publicise the outcome of its findings on the issue.
The command said the dismissed officers faced an orderly room trial in line with first schedule of police Act and regulation 370 Cap 19, after which the punishments were meted to them.
The FCT police command said the orderly room proceeding of two other police officers suspected of participating in the heist has been forwarded to AIG Zone 7 for further action.
The two officers are Inspr Lengs Satlakau, AP/No.141199; and Inspr Usman Wuduki, AP/No. 150566. “The Command wishes to also state that the main culprit F/No. 436691 Sgt Musa Musa will be charged to court for prosecution, while efforts have been intensified to arrest his accomplice one Mallam Shuaibu who is presently at large”, said a statement from the FCT Police Command.
