Donald Duke Indicates Interest For 2019 Presidency!

A former Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Donald Duke, has said that he aspires to contest for presidency in the 2019 general elections.

Mr. Duke, who declared his interest for the plum job at the 3rd Mike Omotosho Annual Lecture titled, “Mellinials as Protagonists in Nation Building,” on Sunday night in Abuja, promised to kick-start the process at the right circumstances.

According to him, “I am entitled to run for the presidency of this country. I am entitled to it. Only on right circumstances I will aspire for it. I don’t shy away from responsibility, only the right circumstance, I will aspire for presidency of this country. I have what it takes to be president of this country.

The former governor charged that “It was high time Nigerians begun to project people with the technical know-how to take the country to the Promised Land. I think we should stop to deceive ourselves here and stop all these political correctness. There is disconnecting between the president and even the ministers.

    1. Hahahaha..@EFCC Dem be joker... They've got nothing on @Duke

The only problem we EFIK OBURUTU have with him was that, during his time as Governor,he was used by @Obasanjo and @Gowon,dey sold @Bakasi pennisular to @Cameroon....And those region are still very much angry

If he had fought to a standstill, the international court wouldn't have declared bakasi to @Cameroon...

    3. Fashola is a talkative Jor. I don't see any good coming from him. When he was a governor, he said under 18mths lagos will have constant power. Heavy bobo, e no work. Now he is the minister of power yet we are worse off.

Dankwambo, gombe state governor is a better option.

  5. If he comes out, then I will vote. I will vote for him. He didn't make a mess when he was cross river's governor.

He deserves a chance and if for some reasons, he wins then messes up too, then we will vote him out again. We will keep trying until we get it right.

Let's forget that the northerners won't vote for him but if every other tribe can come together with one voice and vote this man, who the fuck do the northerners think they are!

    1. Northerners are so diverse you do not know that there are but a few fulanis among us. If candidates think like you then they will lose the north. If they know how politically awake we are...they have us. Our elite are but a small percentage and they have killed too many regulars to have supporters left, it is not rice you use to bribe a northerner, its words and political know how.

  14. Pls I was physically present at this event he absolutely did not say he would run in 2019. Kai fear don catch me! Is this his a mans words can just be distorted like this? The lecture focused on the youth in nation building and he was the keynote speaker. He talked about his experience as a youth in politics years ago and generally about the state of the nation. He never said 'im running in 2019'.

Nigerians i see are still very gullible..they look at trivial things to vote..he is handsome,he is young ,he is old , all kind of rubbish.....what is Donald duke legacy in his state???? ..lets be honest ..instead of sitting in lagos and Abuja and reading rubbish ..go and ask an average cross riverian how they are coping ?? any thing which appears shiny we just fall straight for it....sad....tommorow you people will start shouting ole !! thief!!

  21. Please let us endeavour to secure our individual voter's card and vote.lmagine if 60million Nigerians turn out and choose not to sell their vote knew will be disturbed and rigging tough for the politicians. That is people power in action.ls somebody thinking along.
