Crooner Davido Reportedly Moves Out Of Mansion Where His Son Died

Crooner Davido has reportedly moved out of the Banana Island multi-million naira mansion and the property is now up for rent.
The singer was reportedly renting the house for $150,000 per annum.

This was known after a Lagos State real estate agent, Kofoworola Adewumi put up a post on her Instagram page advertising for a newTenant...

She wrote, “Searching for a luxurious 5 bedroom detached house in the serene and exclusive Banana Island area of Lagos? Look no further than this stunning property now available for rent.

Netizens who recognised it was Davidos house called her out in the comment section for using his house to chase clout and she responded, confirming that it was indeed Davidos former abode...
Adewumi wrote: “You all need to stop making all these unsolicited comments under my post. Davido once lived in the property.Yes!
“However he has moved out and the property is now back in the market for rent. If you all were so concerned and intimate with Davido to the point of knowing his residence, you should also be aware that he has moved out.”

In October 2022, Davidos son Ifeanyi drowned in the swimming pool of the house....

    1. As rich as his father and himself are rich, renting a house $150,000 per annum doesn’t make sense to me. With their wealth, should own many properties in Banana

  2. Some Bloggers & reporting half truth gists just for traffic. They gave us d impression that he bought d place & even mentioned d amount. However, I love that he moved out , bcoz d place screamed bad omen. That pool would be reminding them of their son, if they continued living there. It’s well David.

    1. Not really bad omen, its for mental health wellbeing and the recovery process, the death of a loved one, takes lots of time and effort to heal though some never heal.

    2. Owners can always rent out their property. David must not announce to you that is he is seeking tenants. That's the agent's job.

  5. Abeg make una calculate the money in naira? Say what? 5 bedroom duplex for $150,000. That ugly house? Naija is finished oh. Maybe he actually owned the house by mortgage and wants to rent it out now. Who in their right mind pays almost a hundred million a year for this kind house.

    3. At anon 11:45. I might be richer than you in real life but I still repeat, who in their right mind pays almost a hundred million a year for a tacky 5 bedroom duplex when you are not Musk or bezoo. Even if it is located in heaven and banana island is not heaven.

The elites has finish our society reason everyone is chasing money with reckless abandon. Two, Nigerians has developed a reputation to be very rude and uncouth online, and the whole world is knowing us for that shame.

    1. Nigerians and the unwillingness to be accountable. On top your own negligence you are blaming house? Na wah!

    2. The moment you know Davido has moved out of the house and the place is up for rent, you tag it a 'badluck house', but all the while you believed he owned the house, it was a goodluck house, abi? If he actually owned the house and chose to continue living in there, would you have advised him to move out or called the place badluck house? Did you ask D'banj to move out of his house after the loss of his son? Nigerian youths and shallow herd mentality!

    3. Please how did the house cause the negligence that led to the poor boy's death?

    1. He never came out to say he bought it.

    2. Then he should have debunked the news if he didn't buy it. They will keep quiet allow people to assume. If it was any other fake news, he would rush and debunk it

    3. He said he bought it oo..
I wonder why the celebrities lie a lot..
Don't believe anything you see on social media

  14. Bloggers be mispresenting facts online. The celebrities too will not come out and debunk the fake news. Didn't they say he bought the house?
So he actually rented it and he didn't even bother to debunk the news. Small small, we will be knowing the truth about these people. I hope those who are killing themselves thinking they are not doing enough are seeing these things.

  16. You people are very funny o, so people don't choose to rent out their houses instead of outrightly selling it again?
That he is renting it out does not conclude he owns the house or not, make una mind una businesses.
But ehn, 150k/annum rent for that house? Omooo.

    1. That part is still shocking me sef. When we move out of our apartment, we will be renting it out. Does this mean we don’t own the apartment?

  17. So I just calculated 150k usd, and I can say that rent amount is an absolute lie!! Not even the uber rich will rent that house for that amount. How much does it cost to buy a house in banana island? Add another 200-250k to that money and you will buy that house so how can rent be 150k/annum?

    ReplyDelete
  18. He could use it for Airbnb and movie set rentals.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You can rent out your own house. I feel the house is a reminder of his loss, he had to move for his mental well-being.

  20. Sapa don hold OBO
