    6. This season’s SGIT isn’t giving for me. The Tony umez and Ayo adesanya’s breakup was bleeeeeh. So much buildup then bleeeeeh. Mohammed’s family sha played out their roles well. Perfect interpretation of rich Hausa Muslims treatment to an un-introduced foreigner 🫣. Bimbo n her family sha tried. Ngozi, Woli and Wosi are always life of that series 😁 Ngozi is giving πŸ˜‚.

    7. Then there's me that find the whole sgit from season 1 very bleh 🀦

My momma @TWE honestly I feel like the effort on this season was very minimal it wasn't as desirable as others and I'm so pained. How are you doing?

Fidel πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ why are you this way it wasn't so bad please πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ how are you doing babe?

  7. Chilling outside my house, the breeze is cool. One thing I noticed about my mum since I was born is that, we don't eat meat on good Fridays. My mum was a strong Catholic but because of wahala of life she come go join faya faya church but this has not changed her believes concerning not eating meat.

Growing up you will never see meat to even steal because, she'd have made sure we finshed it before Good Friday. She did not say it but this is what I noticed about her. Even egg she no go gree, she kicked against me eating eggs today, nawa!!

Quick one, so I wanted to buy Bagco bag yesterday so I asked the lady how much she sells, she said 150 , I gave her 200 and she asked her neighbour for change and the neighbour asked, how much u dey sell? She said 150 the neighbour said 150? Why? Then the lady i was buying from replied and said na 150 now, the neighbour said you dey try o. Why I go sell 150 how I go take dey find change for people, abeg na 200 I dey sell o. If them no buy make them go. I no fit sell pass 200.
I just shook my head. Nigeria which waaaay, we are our own problem truly.

  12. The way everything is being faked now is alarming. Even eva water is being faked? Saw the video making the rounds. It is worrying.

I blame every company that her goods are being faked. It is outright nonchalance and negligence on their part. What stops them from going to markets periodically to take samples of their products to verify the authenticity? That way, fake goods can easily be tracked. NAFDAC cannot do this work alone. It is an all hands on deck task.

Peoples lives are being needlessly put at risk and no one answers for it.

    Have a great evening everyone.

    1. If NAFDAC submits and receives budget for the year, they need to do their job. SON is another agency that should ensure goods meet the set standards and quality.

I had to beg her too that I had already gotten one that I'm just admiring it. I stylishly asked how much and she said 2k. I jokingly said no be 1k and she just smiled and ask me to bring the money. 20. The truth about the power sector in Nigeria.
The latest collapse of the national grid is the 46th in 2 years. Pretty awful right? But why exactly are we bedevilled by this? Does it mean government doesn't care? The answer is very benign and simplistic enough to appear unbelievable.

The truth is that Nigeria is suffering from years of absent or little investment in the power sector. Yes, there may be the much vaunted 16 billion dollars invested(?) during OBJ tenure. That is a drop in the bucket of what Nigeria needs.

Nigeria has a supermassive shortfall of power professionals to man and constantly maintain the power stations it has. It is a thankless and very stressful job and we don't have nearly enough engineers.

Secondly, most of the distribution infrastructure is old and outdated. The transformer in your street is possibly over 20 years old. How populated was your street 20 years ago compared to now? Is the transformer not over-labored?

The DISCOS as per the original agreement they signed, should replace every outdated distribution equipment. With the leakages in the system, this is practically impossible.

It costs little north of a million dollars to generate 1MW of electricity. Nigeria needs at a minimum, 20,000MW of electricity. We by no means have that money and probably won't for a long while. We simply don't have the money.

The current government has done well decoupling power from the exclusive list. Each state or organisation with the wherewithal is now free to generate, sell or distribute power as it can. But it is a huge financial undertaking. External investors are willing to come in but they won't if they aren't assured of returns. Less than 70% of meter users haven't bypassed meters. Most of the unmetered customers hardly pay power bills when due. What little they pay, gets siphoned by corrupt officials. It doesn't help that the federal government is the biggest debtor to the power companies.

This situation will remain intractable because hard and painful steps need to be taken. No administration wants to do that. They keep kicking the can down the road. So we remain stuck where we are.

At some point though, we will need to eat that frog painful for everyone as it may be. Electricity will not improve until it becomes a viable investment.

You or your neighbor who is not paying his bills or bypassing his prepaid, is putting greater pressure on everyone else. No company will want to commit money into a system with too many leakages.

Embrace the darkness. It is here to stay.

    1. How can you say that 16 Billion dollars is a drop? Let's agree that it is shikini money, how many Megawatts were generated from the $16B? Compare that with how much other countries spend and the amount of power they generated.
The truth is that some people will vested interest will keep sabotaging the power sector to ensure their business in diesel, generator etc. continue to flourish. This is why Ghana refused when some Nigerian traders started selling generator in Ghana. They saw it as a harbinger to terrible power supply.

  24. Never had a good night's sleep since pregnancy. Even before then, if I'm being honest. If it wasn't hubby's nefarious snores, it was him throwing a ham-heavy hand or leg across me, interrupting my sleep... or waking me up for night sex.
Now my toddler does 360 rotations every night & I cannot count how many times I'd have to readjust or even perch on the bed's precise.

    2. Sweetheart, it may be harsh for me to say this, but please travel to Nigeria.
I know you said your PR application was denied.
You will do better in Nigeria. You will get a husband quicker in Nigeria who will appreciate the investment you've done on yourself. You will get a good job in Nigeria too with your impressive CV
I was in your shoes 15years ago. I took the decision to go back to Nigeria, some people thought that was madness but I was close to depression. Travelling to Nigeria helped me tremendously. I married a lovely man based abroad who came to Nigeria to marry me. I got the papers that was being denied me then. I now live abroad with my British born children.
Long story, but that trip back to Nigeria was a life-saver. It saved me from depression and gave me the right husband I was yearning.

    3. @5:51, now you wan feel empty. Seek Christ and you will be fulfilled!!! I am almost 50, highly educated female; with different consulting companies!
Never been married, no children! I am happier every day! Your happiness is not with anybody; moreover I was so depressing living abroad abroad; now back in Nigeria; after running around and solving daily issues; no time to be deployed or feel lonely! I sleep like a log of wood; out of tiredness. Marriage and having children is destiny!!! So it must be done properly in Christ; to avoid sorrow in old age.

  26. Anon 5:51, please go on a trip. You can even visit the few family members you have abroad with you for a week. That will help you get a purpose for living back.
I'm giving you E-hugs from here. You'll be fine.
