Chronicle Of Blog Visitor Narrative...

Hmmmmmm....

STAND ALONE NARRATIVE
ANSWERS NEEDED FROM SALARY EARNING WIFE
My salary as a wife is 100,000 naira. I save 50,000 naira every month and use the remaining 50k to buy things needed for the children like tops, jeans, toys, hair do, canvass and the likes. I just want to know if I’m wasteful?

Hmmm your husband pays you salary And you do this every month? Madam please you are very wasteful, and your husband need to know...LOL
Please stop buying the same things every month and channel the money towards something else....

    1. If it's things the kids need, you are not wasteful. You save half of your income and to me,that's good enough. Since it seems hubby picks all other bills,it's good you are spending some of your own money on your kids. I know some women who would spend the whole 100k on themselves alone.

  2. How come you buy tops, jeans, toys , canvas every month? You should make your buying three to six months depending in their demand. Stop forming ofa wife while wasting money.

    2. She said #50k not #500k. How many toos, jeans, canvas and toys do you think #50k will buy even if it's for one child.

  3. If you keep buying the same things for them every month that means you are wasteful, there are other things you can channel that money to not buying the same thing for them every month..

  6. You are not wasteful
If your husband can afford it take money from him to buy things for the children
Your wife salary should be spent on you. Save 50k and use most of the other 50k to improve yourself and enjoy your life. Which by the way blesses your children and husband too. Buy classes, buy good lingerie. Do hair. Buy new clothes. That’s what wife salary is for

    1. No, I don't reply anons but I take exception to you, as your 'wisdom' is too much to ignore..

This is why men treat some of you like trash and without respect..

You want to live, collect and collect without giving or making any sacrifices..

Not even spending on your husband oh, your own children again is what seem too much for you, after the man pays school fees, food and all expenses, you still want to meet him for little things like children haircuts even though he gives you 100k..

Honestly, I don't blame you at all.. na Yahoo boys and S!mps cause this thing ..

Some of you shouldn't be taken seriously more than a one night stand

  7. Your salary as a wife is for your personal development and enjoyment, not to cater to the home. We women are just very nice that’s why we spend so much meant for us on the home and kids.

Everything is so expensive so I’m even surprised you can spend that much on such things.

  13. Salary as a wife?
Does that mean all you earn as a married woman (from your husband and your own work) or the money your husband gives to you as his wife outside of what you earn?

Whatever, I think it is wasteful. The fact you sent in this question is small proof you know somewhere in your heart that you are being wasteful even if at only 51%.

Unless you are a very socializing family, children clothes (and clothes generally) have little after value to deserve spending N600,000k or N0.6million on per year. During school periods, children only have time on weekends. All together, they have only about 4 months holidays to use the N600k worth of clothes.

Well, I speak from the depths of my own pocket.

I would not say spend some on your husband or spend all on yourself.

You are doing good on saving.

Just know that in an hyper inflation economy, cash invested in value retaining and or appreciating assets is the best way to maintain one's standard of life. Wives' Chronicles here are testimonials enough on need for good money management.

    Enjoy your marriage.

  15. You are not wasteful at all.
Once in a while, like quarterly, buy something for your husband instead of the kids. No matter how rich he is, he will appreciate it.
You have a good husband, show him you appreciate him.

  16. Everybody’s life is different. The best people to answer your question are wives who collect a salary as well. Some may say you are wasteful but the way your children look is also a reflection of your husband and his prosperity. Some men enjoy seeing their wealth on their family, so I cannot say you ensuring your children having the latest and the best is entirely wrong. You ensuring everyone is healthy and eating nutritiously is also important.

Are they involved in activities like music, sports, language classes and other things that can build lifelong skills in them? If they are not then you could enrol them in something like that and pay out of pocket instead of only focusing on clothing, they will thank you later for it.

Remember to keep yourself looking fresh and beautiful too, skincare, weight management and all that. Use some of your income to look just as fab as you make the kids look. Let the entire family glow. Saving is important and a good wife always has oil in her lamps, so kudos for saving strong.

  18. I don't think you're being wasteful because you're still wise enough to save. But if it's not necessary that month to buy any new thing, then you can save the money

  19. No offense please, what is “wife salary”? I know about housekeeping allowance. Is that the same or is it “pocket money” you get for being a wife? Again no offense, I’m a woman with over thirty years marriage though I live outside🇳🇬so this is just for my education so I keep up with what is happening in 🇳🇬. Thank you

  21. I hope this wife salary is just as a wife not housewife, because cannot have a degree and 2 masters degree to come and be collecting 100k wife salary to be limited at home....do you still have a another job or business doing? God has put so much value in me to limit it to the home only....I am an HR manager and still do my wifely and mummy duties. you have the capacity to earn more
