IS YOUR CHARACTER YOUR DESTINY?
Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.

CHARACTER

-A man's character is his fate. What we often call our destiny is truly our character, and since that character can change, then destiny can be altered.
-Character is destiny
-There is no amount of spiritual penance that can substitute for character, sometimes you need character, not prayer.
-Prayer is not a cheque request asking for things from God;it is a deposit slip-a way of depositing God's character into our bankrupt souls
-You must learn to treat people with courtesy.
-The Shunammite woman must have been praying for a child all through her life. By being hospitable to a man of God,she eventually got her much-awaited miracle......It wasn't her prayer that opened the door for her;but it was her character
-Treat people with respect.
-Treat strangers with courtesy.
-Never look down on anybody. God can use anyone to change your story.
-The greatest fraud in life is religion without character

LIFE AFTER 40 SUCCESS NUGGETS
At age 40 you should be smart enough to realize this:
1.. Stay silent. Not everything needs to be said.
2.. Silence is better than unnecessary drama.
3.. If you find someone smarter than you, work with them, don't compete. Competition is a weakness.
4.. The family you create is more important than the family you come from.
5.. Your current job doesn't care about you. They only pay you enough to kill your dreams. Use the pay to transform your dream to reality.
6.. Free yourself from society's advice, most of them have no idea of what they're doing.
7.. Influence people that have no purpose, no direction, and zero intent. Learn their needs. Lead them.
8. It's better to have one friend who's;
-Happy for you
-Supports your win
-Encourage your dreams...
Than a bunch of acquittances who are;
-Lazy
-Self-centered
-Jealous of your success
9.You'll be 10 times happier if you forgive your parents and stop blaming them.
10. No one will ever come save you. Your life is 100% your responsibility.
11. Your inner circle should be more focused on money, success, and starting a family.
12. You don't need 100 self-help books. All you need is actions and self-discipline.
Believe in your heart and soul that you are capable of big things in your life.
The only thing that is standing in your way is yourself.

  7. Abeg, how do u people do this gentle parenting thing. I feel like I’m failing and failing miserably and it bothers me that I’m kinda always having to shout for them to even listen.

I don’t want to be this kind of parent oh but these little humans keep testing my patience.

On the plus side, Vanessa started sleeping all through the night since we stopped breastfeeding, a feat I never achieved with Alex. Infact she still wakes up some nights sef.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. In my opinion, parenting style changes with time,a parent can be gentle at this point and also be authoritative at another time.
Only you will know when to exert the type of parenting skills that you want and also study your kids to know what really works per child.

Most times little children will make you shout/ scream, you just have to control yourself by ignoring if it won't hurt them.

      Delete
    2. You have to practice and master the art of deep breathing. This method shaped my life forever. Constant shouting scares them, instead of correcting them. The place of prayer cannot be overemphasised, lay hands on them, while, they're sleeping.

Eka... personally, i like seeing parents shout at their kids. I have this belief that it somehow affects their confidence.

  9. God’s been good to you. You’ve seen His blessing, but you’re in a time of pressing, squeezing. It’s uncomfortable, people have come against you, there’s strain in your finances, a child has an illness. You’re on a road that you didn’t choose, facing things that you don’t understand. God sees what you’re dealing with. He knows who did you wrong, what wasn’t fair. When He’s not removing that pressure, that means you have the grace to withstand, to endure, to overcome. You may not be able to pray it away, but when you say, “God, I trust You. I’m not giving up on my dreams, backing down on what You promised. I’m going to stand strong, knowing that You’re in control, that this season of suffering is a sign that a resurrection is coming.” That’s what allows the Creator of the Universe to go to work. That’s when angels are dispatched with healing, favor, breakthroughs, new levels. Don’t get stuck in Gethsemane. That’s not your destiny.

  13. 23 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OKRO

    1. Presently now in Nigeria, Okro is the fastest soup to cook .

    2. In Nigeria, this vegetable is popularly known as okro while in some other countries, it is known as okra.

    3. It is because of its long and slender nature that okro is called lady's finger in part of Europe.

    4. Okro comes in two colours: it is mainly green and the other colour is red. Both varieties taste the same and the red one turns green when cooked.

    5. Okro is a vicious/slimy vegetable.

    6. Okro is a flowering plant known for its edible seed pods.

    7. Okro has a mild flavour and basically absorbs the flavour of the spices and seasonings used in cooking it.

    8. Okro as a vegetable, likes lot of water and warm environment to grow well.

    9. Inside the okro pod are small, edible seeds.

    10. Okro is known for its slimy nature. The sliminess is known as mucilage or drawness.

    11. Okro is a very popular and delicious soup recipe that is loved by a majority of people in West Africa, especially if cooked well.

    12. Just like ogbono soup and ewedu soup, okro soup has a vicious texture which makes it a delicious soup.

    13. Okro is loaded with vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber and is more than just a food, but also a medicine.

    14. Okro can be used in making soups, sauces and stews.

    15. Okro as a vegetable, can be eaten raw.

    16. The entire okro plant is edible; the leaves can be used for preparing salads or cooking soups, and the pods can be fried, stewed, pickled, boiled or used as a thickener for soups.

    17. The Nigerian okro soup is very healthy and nutritious. It is high in protein, healthy fats and low in carbohydrates.

    18. Okro soup is one of the quickest and easiest Nigerian soups to prepare.

    19. Okro soup is also known as miyan kubewa (dried okro soup) in Hausa.

    20. Okro soup is also known as draw soup, okra soup or lady's finger soup.

    21. Okro soup and ogbono soup are from the same family of draw soups.

    22. Okro can be used to cook the following soup recipes: okro soup, plain okro soup, okro soup (without oil), miyan kubewa, okro/ogbono soup and fisherman soup.

    4. There is an option called "Text to speech" which is available on your WhatsApp..

It has a microphone logo, just under the main microphone which you click before recording a voicenote on WhatsApp..

Let's say you have my contact on your phone;instead of sending me a message, click that "Microphone logo" and allow permissions;then viola start saying your story and it will be typing as you are saying by itself;then later you just read through and "Edit" with fullstops, paragraph, comma and the likes.

After full editing, just copy and come to the blog;then paste..

That way you save time to type and still give your full gist to us.

      Hope this helps.

  31. Do you see people with their style of parenting and just give them some bombastic side eyes? Try to slow down and think, “maybe they are trying their best and need help”.
I was at the bus stop and this oyinbo woman with about 5-6 children under 11 yrs was clearly struggling with them. She kept shouting at them and they kept running all over the place pushing and shoving each other.
So I smiled and gently told her that they were possibly tired. She said, “thanks so much. You are the only one that seems to understand, everyone else is looking at me like I’m an unfit parent”
I just thought, “God forgive me, I have been giving some parents with boisterous children like hers side eyes before”

    Married again very interesting.

This is fate very interesting but annoying.

    Gaagan very interesting.

    I have watched Mehek

I am currently watching Sister's wives..

I don't want Zeeworld to carry me,go where I don't know,I decided to watch only Sister's wives for now.

The problem with Indian films,is the ending part.

Their ending parts is always annoying...

  54. SDK I watched two Zeeworld series in those days.
It was my mother-in-law that made me to watch Married again, she loved it so much and would even collect fuel money from hubby before he left for work, in order to run the generator to watch it if there's no light. Since I was at home nursing my baby then, we watched it together
Another one that I watched was Twist of fate.
Now no time to watch series on Zeeworld anymore. I only watch downloaded movies on my phone once in a blue moon.
    Hustling has taken over.

  56. The only two Zee world movies I followed to the end was Mehek and the Heir. I loved the heir so much because the story line wasn't about their annoying obsessive love.
