There are things I'd miss about our decision not to have any more babies in our home.....
ReplyDelete1. "Baby, I'm pregnant". I heard that twice, and it was most satisfying! I'd miss not hearing that..😁.. My wife belle dey big during pregnancy, you go tink say na twins sef. So cute! Also, the whole irritations, cravings, etc. Amma miss all that.
2. The doctors appointments, getting the EDD, excitement of baby's arrival, and the hustle to raise money for delivery, baby things, diapers, vaccinations, Omugwo etc.
3. Sleepless nights, and all the dramas that come with having a new born. Amma miss that!
4. I'd also miss watching a baby grow from that lil precious thing in the hospital, to starting creche, to blabbing, talking, and starting proper school.
Yea, I'd truly miss all of that. But we wanted 2 kids. God graciously gave us. C'est Fini!
We pray to see them evolve into teenagers, then adults, and then get married and gerrout of our house!....#ALiSpeaks

Paul warned his spiritual son and successor, Timothy: 'Know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power' (2 Timothy 3:1-5 NKJV).
As you read this list, you realise Paul could easily have been describing the generation we live in today. So, what's the answer? Men and women of God who know how to skilfully wield the sword of his word. And, if you love God's word, rest assured Satan will target you, especially if you're teaching someone else biblical truths. He wants to blunt the sharp edge of your sword so that your message is ineffective. It's an old trick that the Philistines, Israel's archenemies, used to keep them in captivity. They got rid of all the blacksmiths in the land (see 1 Samuel 13:19). Consequently, the Israelites had no way to sharpen their swords, defend themselves and throw off the yoke of oppression.
And, if you're a leader, you're a spiritual blacksmith, called to help people sharpen their swords, and Satan will try and stop you in any way he can (see 1 Peter 5:8). So, live on your knees and live in God's word. The people of this world need God's word. God is counting on you to keep your sword sharp.

ReplyDeletePlease allow me to vent a little. I did microblading last year, and it pletely faded after just three months. I reached out to the lady who did it, and she insisted I needed a retouch. She also assured me that after the retouch, it would last for more than a year.
In February, I went for the retouch because I needed to travel, Now, less than three months later, it has faded again. I contacted her with pictures, and she claimed it’s because I have very oily skin, which supposedly makes it fade faster. I am seriously pained because of the pain I went through and money I wasted.
But I know people with microblading that has lasted over a year and still looks good, even without a retouch. I actually got her contact from someone’s WhatsApp status.
Please, does having oily skin really prevent microblading from lasting? I am not good at makeup, I can go for months without applying anything on my face except cream so with microblading. I am good to go anywhere without powder and lipstick. I am thinking of getting another one from a different person , Please does it have negative effect?.
Oily skin does not make micro blading fade faster. I don’t think your skin can be oiler than mine. I did mine July 2023 and it’s still very visible. I don't know if it has any effect but I will advice you look for someone that has done it and it lasted longer to recommend. Sorry for the pains.

No one is immune to the tragedies of life...
But Mercy is what keeps you going.
I have seen the proud and haughty loose everything at a go and had to walk with bended head in shame.
I have seen the “disciplined” fall into what they once condemned.
This is the reason why the one standing should never brag but put it all on God.
let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he falls.
So know this,... life is not about being smart or strong. It is not about being too self acclaimed righteous.
It is about leaning on the Merciful mercies of the most high God.
This is one reason I ask God every Blessed day of my life for mercy that I do not deserve.
Not just for when I falter and mess up, but because I am Human.
Life is a great teacher and it humbles everyone in due course.
So next time you feel like carrying your shoulders up and looking down at anyone, remember that you don't have control over what is coming ahead.

DeleteI am one articulate human(at least, I've gotten that from one or two persons), engraced as well that, whenever I come into a gathering, I exude a charisma that makes genuine people to love me. Whereas, there's this other group that hides and keeps watching for the day you'll flop. And when it happens, they come out enmasse to jeer, laugh and even throw jabs sometimes. Funnily enough, some members of this group are people who pretend as though they like me. We laugh, joke and exchange pleasantries when need be. But when that occasional flop happens, you see them raising their ugly heads to make mockery of me. Sometimes, presenting it lightly so that I'll think it's all jokes, but yeah, I see through those jabs. They aren't just ordinary.
I used to be worried before, seeing that I'm not a trouble maker, yet these people just dislike me for being whom I am, until I had a self reflection one day and realized that I shouldn't pay attention to their backlash but keep improving on myself and then stay motivated by drawing inspiration from the percent who clap for me through my journey.
Today, I'm crushing on all queens that have risen above persecutions and are still standing tall wearing their crowns.❤️🤗
