TikToker Jailed One Year For Bathing On The Streets

A Magistrate Court in Kano State has sentenced a popular TikToker, Umar Hashim, popularly known as Tsulange, to one year jail term for engaging in indecent conduct.

The court, presided over by Magistrate Hadiza Muhammad Hassan at Gyadi Gyadi, found Hashim guilty of public misconduct.
Delivering judgment, Magistrate Hassan sentenced Tsulange to one year jail term with an option to pay a fine of ₦80,000.

The court also ordered the convict to pay ₦20,000 to the Kano State Censorship Board to cover expenses incurred during the investigation and prosecution.

Tsulage was arraigned by the Censorship Board in June 2025 after he was arrested him for shooting a comedy skit in which he was seen bathing on a road while wearing a woman’s undergarment.

  8. Some things cannot be done in certain places. Why he decided to wear bra and whatever else for his skit in that locality. Just because it is funny to you doesn’t mean it will be funny to others. That said, these young ppl have found a way to earn a living and improve their life prospects through social media. They should let them do their thing since the economy is harsh and job prospects are low. Social media is a nuisance at times but many young Africans have become business ppl, homeowners and uplifted themselves through it. Let them earn their legitimate living in peace.
