On Saturday morning, Bashir el-Rufai took to X and launched an attack on his elder brother, Mohammed Bello el-Rufai, who represents Kaduna North in the House of Representatives.
Bashir called Bello a “useless excuse for a brother” and claimed Bello had a “bony-ass face coated with an unknown white substance around his nostrils every night.” He said the lawmaker “prefers alcohol and cocxaine” and later doubled down that his brother was “on colos” and lived on “a diet of cocaine and whiskey.”He also called him a phool at 38 and advised him to five his balls..LOL
Bashir also questioned Bello’s loyalty to the family and accused him of sticking with Kaduna Governor Uba Sani (their father’s former ally turned political rival) for too long, only switching sides when it suited him.
Bello had stayed on in APC after their father left the party, then defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) earlier this year. Bashir suggested Bello put personal political interest first and only remembered family when it became convenient.
All of the posts were later deleted by Bashir. As of this latest report, Bello had not issued a public response. Their father remains in custody over separate legal matters involving alleged financial issues from his time as governor.
