Teacher life

We had Colour Day in my school, some weeks back.
Kids were assigned different colors, and they were to come dressed in their colours and bring snacks that represented those colours. Simple brief, right?
Well… parents heard “snacks” and transformed into full-blown event planners.
Before 8:30 a.m., picnic baskets were entering the school like...
Most parents in my class said,
“Oh, they can share! Let them give their friends!”
Beautiful. Community spirit. Sharing is caring. All that good stuff.
Except… one child.
His mum sent me a very clear voice note that morning:
“Please return my son’s picnic basket intact, nothing should be removed or touched.”
No problem. Message received loud and clear.
When snack-sharing time came, I shared from every other basket, mixed things up so everyone had a little of everything, and made sure the moment felt fair and fun.
But my little guy?
He kept coming:
“Miss C, you haven’t shared mine.”
“Miss C, my friends are going home and you didn’t open my basket.”
I told him gently,
“Sweetheart, your mummy said I should not open it.”
He blinked, sighed a little “Oh!”, and went to sit down.
Bless him ; he didn’t argue.
Closing time when he was to go home, I carried the untouched, fully-loaded basket to his mum, greeted her, and went back to my class.
Later that evening… my phone rang.
It was his dad.
“Good evening, ma. Please, why didn’t you share my son’s snacks?”
I explained everything : including the very specific voice note.
He sighed.
He told me that wasn’t what she meant.
I told him, respectfully,
“Sir, if she wanted it shared, she would have said so when I handed the basket back to her.”
Before the call ended, I heard him say to her:
“So what are you going to do with all these snacks now?”
And that is how I closed Colour Day with a full basket, a confused child, two disagreeing parents, and one teacher who followed instructions exactly as delivered.

NA WAH OOOOOOOOOOOOO...MISS C you are trying..if itsme i will throw the basket at her..........Not easy handling parents at all...

NOTORIOUS FOR JESUS

Last week, I read this story on social media and it has stayed in my mind ever since. The story was about a twenty-eight-year-old woman who was a mother of three and worked as a teacher in her husband’s school. She was known to be kind and helpful. One day, she introduced a woman who was looking for a job to her husband, hoping he would help her.

The husband eventually employed the woman and even made her the headmistress of the school. Meanwhile, his own wife was paid only ₦10,000. The husband often mocked her for being only a secondary school graduate, sometimes even humiliating her in front of students.
One morning during the school assembly, her youngest child began to cry and disturb the programme. As a mother, she briefly stepped away to attend to the child. Instead of showing understanding, the husband publicly insulted and humiliated her in front of the students and staff.
Later, she went to his office to confront him about the humiliation. Sadly, the confrontation turned violent. The husband slapped her and began beating her.

In anger, he picked up an iron rod and struck her on the head, causing her to collapse.
Instead of rushing her to the hospital, the husband and the headmistress dragged her to the backyard and covered her with a wrapper. Eventually, someone raised an alarm and she was taken to the hospital. When she regained consciousness, she discovered she had lost her sight. The doctors explained that the injury had affected her brain. The husband and the headmistress were later arrested and the school was shut down. The incident happened in Ijebu Ode.

What kind of wickedness is this??Why didnt she leave him? its not by force to stay and all the embarrassments he was giving her was to tell her he was tired.....

RULES FOR MEN
Walk away from anyone with a chaotic past who expects you to fix it.
Value women who create stability, not drama.
Respect yourself enough to never fund someone else’s mistakes.
Prioritize your energy, your wallet, your future over “love stories” that are debt traps.
Nice guys don’t always finish last — they finish destroyed if they carry baggage they didn’t create. Copied

WEIRD FACTS
---Being alone weakens your body. Having friends strengthens your body.

--- Respect people who find time in their schedule to see you. Love people who never look at their schedule when you need them.

--- If it drains you, it's not for you. Remember that

----If you feel tears coming on and need to hold them back, relax your jaw and refrain from blinking.

************************

Pick the flowers.

Sometimes love doesn’t look like a five star restaurant or a perfectly wrapped gift.
Sometimes it looks like pulling your truck over on the side of a quiet country road because you spotted some wildflowers dancing in the wind, and she crossed your mind.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. Not the errands, not the clock, not the dust on your boots. You just knew you wanted to bring a piece of that happiness home to her.

Picking flowers for her is about letting her know that even in the middle of an ordinary day, your heart drifted her direction. Those flowers weren’t arranged by a florist. They weren’t trimmed evenly. Your hands might have gotten a little dirty pulling them from the earth. But that’s what makes them special. They were chosen, one by one, with her in mind.

Love is found in small gestures that are hardly ever planned. It’s found in slowing down long enough to notice the beauty of something and then thinking to yourself “She would love this.”
It’s the willingness to look a little foolish walking back to your truck holding a handful of bright blooms, knowing the smile waiting at home will be worth it.
The fancy restaurants and extravagant gestures have their place, but simple acts carry the real weight in this world. They say, “I see you.” They say, “I think about you.” They say, “Even in the middle of my day, you matter to me".

So if you see the flowers, pick them. Not because you have to, but because love is always worth the stop.

Copied

sucker for love!!!

    6. You this anon should just rest on Glory's case, what's wrong with you, how are you such a very bitter soul, do you have anything you think of in your life apart from Glory's case, you're a big sadist and hater, I pity people that are closed to you, you have nothing to give to people but pure hatred.
It's not a must you like her but please let her be, whether she's faking it here or not is her own problems, that shouldn't be your headache, you dragged her yesterday and that's not enough,
It's not a must you read her comments, always jump and pass.
I also have some people I don't like here due to their personalities, no matter how their comments sound sweet, funny or weird, I will never comment under their comments and never drag them either with my ID or under anonymous, and there are some people that I don't even like their comments, I just jump and pass and won't even bother to read, everybody can not be the same and nobody's perfect, live and let's live.
The most annoying part is you know what you're doing is very bad, that's why you can use your ID, because I know very well you have a ID and you must be popular with your ID.
Because you hate somebody or you don't like that person doesn't mean God doesn't love him or her, and they will not leave this world because of you, wetin happen.

Teacher life, I bet the woman lied to her husband about what she said, some women are like that, I remember when a father paid for party fee for his children but his wife later came behind his back to collect the money maybe to her, the money was too much but the school management refused to give her.

One particular lady came in with a glittering face. The make up was good so i complimented her and she spilled how her make up person did the work on Friday cos she was travelling and she slept with the face till Saturday. Event was at noon. Tho the make up was still good but omo sleeping with all that chemicals till next day. I can't fit. I go carry my face like that or do my minimal make up and enter any room.

All through the event that ended so late with the hot weather and sweats this lady was so at ease. How do they feel so comfortable like that.

  10. If anyone had told me I would ever consider braiding, as a job, I would say it's a lie because i didn’t learn this anywhere. I'm actually self-taught.

But there's this lady here that I make her daughter's hair for free. She asked me if I braid that her older sister was looking for someone to braid her hair. So I said, I could try.

And then we went back and forth and then she asked me how much. I gave her basically like half the price or even way less than half the price they normally charge because like I said, I'm not a professional.

So she went back to her sister and the sister agreed. I said, ye, what have I put myself into?

So yesterday, Sunday, I didn't go to church. I went to the sister's house and I braided her hair. And when I was done, I was panicking because I felt it wasn't perfect. I don’t think the center part was as good as I wanted it to be.

But when I was done, this woman paid me. I checked what she paid me. I went to tell her that was not the agreement. She said I should not worry that she saw the effort I put into it. And she really likes the hair and it's smaller than like she expected. And so she paid me almost double what I asked for.

So I guess I did it right. And now I'm actually really considering mastering my skills, buying these things from Temu to practice and see if I can actually braid hair for a living because it's good money. The money they paid me yesterday alone, Jesus.

  28. Teachers are really trying. That's how one parent sent a cake to school on her child's birthday then gave strict instructions not to cut the cake. Take pictures with his class mates and put it back in the box. Where is the sense in that?

    2. This is a good proposal. All the best to you. You can hold on with the jewelry first and establish the hair business. Later on you can incorporate the jewelry into it. Jewelry business is capital intensive.

  43. Have you noticed that the most powerful things in life, often are the most simplest of things.
‎A bottle of water for instance is about $0.50 while a bottle of champagne is more expensive. Yet 50 bottles of champagne will never quench your thirst like a single bottle of water.

‎ A smile is simple but very powerful, When you smile, your brain releases happy chemicals, stress runs away, blood pressure chills, and your immune system says thank you. Scientifically, your muscles relax and your mood lifts. So abeg, flash that teeth it’s free therapy, no hospital queue, no debit alert, just pure joy daily for your body and mind.
