According to reports and circulating footage, the pair first entered the salon under the pretence of making enquiries. They looked around, asked questions, and left. Later they returned with a gun and after taking the lady and a young child inside a room in the shop, they proceeded to takr items from the shop. The main target appears to have been human hair products, the expensive wigs and extensions that many salons stock.
CCTV cameras inside the salon recorded both the earlier visit and the actual robbery. That clear footage became the key tool security operatives used to identify and track the suspects. By August 25, 2026 ESSC had arrested the two suspects and paraded them before the media
