PDP Rejects Tinubu's Daughter As New Iyaloja Of Lagos.

What will Fashola do to Tinubu his oga at the top?

Following the pronouncement of the daughter of Bola Tinubu, Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, by the former Lagos State governor, on Sunday at the Fidau prayer sessions for late Abibatu Mogaji, the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has warned him to rescind his decision.

This appeal was contained in a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani, of the PDP in Lagos State. The party noted that democratic process should be allowed to usher in a new leader as against the dictatorial style being displayed by the ACN National Leader.

"The much touted democrat should allow the simple tenets of democracy to prevail in the selection of a new leader for the Market women," a part of the statement stressed. The PDP also noted that, "there is no cogent evidence that his nominee and daughter (Folashade) is a full time market woman."

It further emphasised that, "this new development portends great danger for our democracy and indeed Lagos integrity. We are thus calling on the State Governor, Raji Fashola, not to sit on the fence at this auspicious time."

The PDP then urged Fashola to "rise up and be counted now. He must exhibit control in governance especially when Tinubu's interest conflicts with the public interest. He must see to it that the process leading to the emergence of market leader and any other leadership in the State is transparent, liberal and credible."

  2. Are they learners?

The post of the Iyaloja is heriditary and must be passed down the Tinubu lineage.

    2. Even if it is hereditary, Tinubu isn't the late Mogaji's blood son. He was adopted as a sibling by her. It should go to the late iyaloga's blood daughter.

    3. Which constitution says its hereditary?

  12. some people are crowned king out of necessity, nuh bcos they are interested.. Thats jes d custom. And oh, i so much disagree with d statement "tinubu's interests conflicting with d public's".. Rather, its "tinubu's interest conflicting with PDP's interest... Mayb one day too, they will start crowning a king thru voting... Lmao

Stop bringing political interests into everything, Nigerians are not fools

  19. Abeg PDP shld take several seats! As they've made d presidency "turn by turn Nigeria ltd", why would they cry foul over doing same for d iyaloja position? I don't support Jagaban's high-handedness in this matter;but PDP is in no position to issues warnings/appeals in matters that they r equally guilty of!

  27. But, one question no one has asked is where is PDP's evidence of this pronouncement by Tinubu? I was at the Fidau Prayers on Sunday and the man never said a word throughout the event. He never said a word. The vote of thanks was even done by Fashola, not him. Why are we sentencing a man just because we believe he might be guilty?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tinubu never said anything at the event. PDP lied. Watch the live broadcast again and see
