See what Money does!.

  1. Are you kidding me??? They gave out money as souvenirs? That is so illiterate. Souvenir means 'to remember'. What has cash got to do with it. Nigerians!!! Una too do!!

    5. That's 100k each. Aso ebi must be 500k

    1. If u are used to attending the so called 'elites functions', you'll agree that the most expensive souvenirs are given to those who do not need them. And I guarantee that this is one of such.

How much can possibly entice one who bought 200k aso ebi? And prolly drove to the venue in a Jag or bentley? With 1M$ diamond jewelry? Even if 100k was handed to each attendee, yea it will make news. But its bcos they've run out of impressive ideas for gifts. We've seen plasmas, microwaves, deep freezers, expensive fabrics, even DSTV dishes etc. What more can they give as souvenirs?? Na cash o. But those who seriously need the cash are not the ones who'll be given tho. They won't even make it to the party in the first place. But am not impressed at any rate.

    2. Not true. If you want to show wealth, there are enough classy gifts to hand out.

What do billionaires need microwaves, Big Plasma TVs for?

How about diamonds, rolex wristwatches, gold plated phones, $1 Champagne etc? Expensive gifts never finish abeg. He who has money to burn on expensive gifts should contact Alex Amosun.

    3. Anon 1:57. U clearly missed my point. I said that the items I mentioned have already made round as souvenirs, and that they give those items to those who do NOT need the use of them..hence. Bet they've also realized that fact. And no matter how rich they are, I don't think they'll start to give out 1M$ worth of diamonds as u are suggesting o. Yes maybe the expensive champagnes will be served .....Even Adenuga and Dangote never start to dey dash money for party. Okoya sef na Eleganza cooler and pen he go wrap for them..lolz. All a waste to me tho, it doesn't depict class or style in any way.

    1. U ar a bloody liar! So u assumed that its the Same Shehu Shagari family? Shagari dat doesn't av up to 3 houses in his life? Always carry out a research b4 writing nonsense. If it ever happened, it is another Shagari, no Shehu Shagari.

    2. U for first ask Dimple, which state the shagaris are from?
I also think is a manipulated pix. Also the anon that tried telling us the literal meaning of 'souvenir' its 'for coming' and can be said to be in appreciation

  10. Real or fake this is in poor taste for a country where people are broken down by poverty daily. Americans make souvenirs a token gift to simply say thank you for honoring an invitation, some donate money to charity on behalf of their guests to make it even more meaning fool ONLY in Nigeria has souvenirs been turned into a crass, tasteless competition in which the wishes of the bride and groom are not even considered because dads, moms, mothers and fathers of the day (what the hell does that even mean), aunties and uncles are too busy showing off. It is RIDICULOUS!!! Things like this make me very embarassed to be Nigerians at times.

  21. @DIMPLE PLS HOW MUCH WAS IT EXACTLY?

  22. actually I reallized my mistake, if you read the rest of my post which were all quite concise and gramatically correct, you would have realized that I made a mistake. The "fool" came about because I was thinking the people who did this were "fools" and it transferred to my writing it just like sometimes you find yourself writing something you may be saying while speaking to someone. You aren't clever, dear so thanks for the observation but you weren't calling me out on anything I was aware of doing.
