RANT ABOUT ANYTHING!

Today you are all free to rant about anything concerning Nigeria that really pisses you off.

Is your governor not getting it right ?Report them here...come on,lets hear about it!
What is not working at all for you where you are at?spill!
What do you think about anything and everything concerning Nigeria?healthcare?the roads?

Isn't it rather demeaning for the Nigerian customs at the point of entry into Nigeria,to unzipping people's bags and search, don't we have scanners?arrrrgh!

*I am just appalled that getting a good Education for children in Nigeria is so expensive and gets worse at the University level.....what happens to the children of poor parents?I am so appalled that the government does not know that equipping the youth of today with a sound education is securing the future for sound and educated leaders and not the money miss road leaders ruling us now.......ruling and embezzling to secure their children's financial future.....

  1. I live outside Nigeria but the problems give me serious headches anytime I analyse them. I always say I give up and will stop discussing the multitude of Naija problems but I just can't. I just tire. Where does one begin? Every little thing is a problem in Nigeria.

    4. I'm ranting against the average Nigerian who doesn't do anything to make things better but instead complains. I'm ranting against you (you know yourself) that usually throws your gala wrapper on the street after eating. I'm ranting against you that cannot even send your housegirl to a public school. I'm ranting against men that take advantage of girls and demand sex in exchange for employment. I'm ranting against Stella's friend that ran the red light last week and then complained that the policeman wanted a bribe. I'm ranting against Nigerians who don't read their bible but swallow everything their pastor tells them. I'm ranting against all you blog readers that tap into the anointing of corrupt officials.

    1. Im not going to rant because I believe strongly in the word of God that when others say ther's acasting down I will say there's a lifting up.Nigeria bad Nigeria bad yet people are building mansions and buying brand new cars straight from manufacturers shelf before they are even launched in Nigeria. My dear readers choose where u want to belong.Instead of ranting im giving thanks to God.I am eating of the good of the land.

    2. @anon 9.24, you are one of the major problems of this country. Defining a problem doesn't dilute your faith. The pple you mentioned buying mansions and cars are just about 10 percent of the population. What about the other 90? Don't they deserve better? "Choose where you want to belong"?!
My dear, the poor doesn't have a choice in Nigeria

  3. Hmm.. Where do I start from?? Abia state Governor T.A Orji is the worst governor Abia state has ever seen since our so called "democracy" evrythin is goin from bad to super bad!! Its such a pity, d teachers' salaries in both primary and secondary schls r not been paid, always increasing the tuition fees for the university students and yet nothing is happening!! Using state funds for personal gains, bad roads, dirty environment, d list is endless!! May God help Abia State!!

  5. Sadly I gave up on the country a long time again. You see the problem with Nigeria is not just the leaders; the followers also are corrupt. Ask them the teachers, bank workers, okada drivers, doctors, pastors etc are all compromised.

Until accountability becomes their watchword and punishment becomes the norm for erring offenders, Nigeria and Nigerians will remain the same: corrupt, evil, unexposed, hypocritical, misinformed.

Take the strike for example, most of them aren't affected na. Their chudren dey overs! God help us. And for parents who struggle to give their kids the best, may God surprise you all.

We've all become local government chairpersons. Providing light, water, health care for ourselves in a system were we are taxed. If person no get money e go just die throway.

I'm so suprised that Jonathan is doing nothing about bunkery....jeez....shell used to drill like 500000 barrels a day and when it is combined with other oil firms, nigeria produces a minimum of 1.2 million barrels a day. Now, all of them joined together doesn't produce up 2 500000 barrels.....My elder brother is a geoscientist with shell and has been there for several years. He told me that the russians stay on the high sea waiting to buy the oil....and these bunkers actually go with security, the nigerian police and army.......its alarming that people are making money while the country is getting poorer..........now, I am so angry.........

Gosh y are guys fucking liars,I met this guy at a friends party summer last year in london I came back to nigeria we cntinued talking and all he seemed like a sweet guy,he told me he did his bsc in uk and he was currently in London business school, and he was worried about relcating and all, we chated everyday about everything we planned how I'd take him around and make him feel comfy in lagos.....he said he was looking for a serious girlfriend I wasn't interested but he seemed really serious so I kept my options open.

Fastforward to june this year he comes back
    Still d perfect gentel man
He took me out on several dates
Asked me to come sleep in his house I agreed cuz I didn't really mind shagging
This guy didn't touch me o
He said he wasn't about to rush into having sex with me
Said he loved me and wanted to take it slow
At that point I let go of all my defences
I started letting him in o I fell helplesslly in love

We dated for 3 months then we finally had sex o......
It was egg he fried...didn't last 3 seconds
But since I really like him I was inderstand and all we talked about it and he said he will improve

One day I met an old secondary school friend of mine and we were just gisting and he asked if I had a boyfriend I showed him my boos picture o
That's how story started he knew the guy from uni........which uni? Unilag!!!!

    Can u believe it I was shocked I didn't even believe o
I called my boo asked him
He laughed about it. And said it was a lie
This my friend showed me his graduation picture o...

Then d worst part is that I started investigating and found out that he had a girl friend of 5 years that's not in nigeria. I'm really pissed off o....asin wtf y all d lies is it ever that serious andd bastard can not even knack o.....I'm just pained I didn't get anything out of d relationship.....not love not money not sexualy satisfaction rubbish.

I wish I could deal with him

  27. Hmmm... I saw this and thought "Perfect! An outlet to rant about my employer who has still not paid October salaries but keeps sending work and the sheer injustice of his politicking junkets flying in private jets around the country when I have to fend off calls from people expecting their salaries and bill payments and literally have less than N1k in my purse right now" but then I remembered God's words about being thankful in ALL things and actually found reasons not to rant. Well, instead of ranting, I am thankful. Thankful for life, good health, sound mind, the gift of a good man who upholds me and never always wants to make me happy, a great healthy family, I am even thankful for my job, for my boss, his lovely nice wife who buys gifts and souvenirs for me whenever she goes on holidays and who reached out to me when I suffered a sad loss last year, thankful for Nigeria, thankful that in spite of the troubles and travails we encounter as a country, God has still kept us together- that is hope for a brighter future for this country, thankful for too much to start listing out here... I am truly thankful!

  28. If we rant from today till tomorrow, what do u think will happen.
Politicians read blogs these days or their associates and employees do, did they change?
Will they change? It gets to a point where u say I am tired like the first comment stated but at d end u just cant stop complaining and do something about it.
I love my country and until we the youths decide that change for our beloved country is a must, we will always suffer and smile. So me today I will rant about we the nigerian youths that have lost hope and see ourselves as losers.
I will rant about young musicians that cannot use their voice to campaign for a better nigeria instead na to sing meaningless songs and we hopeless nigerian youths will dance to their meaningless songs.
I will complain about the youths that sit at home and complain of strike yet instead of protesting peacefully, they start indulging in despicable acts trying to get rich quick.
I will complain abound me and u doing nothing but ranting and complaining about Nigeria, we are Nigeria(ns), there is a saying that the way u lay ur bed is how u lie on it, if this old corrupt leaders always unmake the bed we lie on, is it not time we tell them how we want our beds made and show them how to make them instead of complaining and still lie in d unmade bed done by these old fools at the top.
Stella say make we rant I don talk where dey pain me.

  41. I wanted to send you one of those reader emails, but I was not sure if I was ready to receive the full wrath of your readers. Anyways, I will just make a little post here.
I am a 23 year old 'woman' that has never had a relationship and currently lives in the US. While I was growing up I always thought I was a little bit different. I was very tomboyish when I was little but I grew out of it as I became a teenager. The problem was while girls were getting breasts and having their periods, I waited and waited and waited... My parents thought I was a late bloomer and reassured me to continue waiting. Eventually at 17 my mum decided to take me a gynaecologist while we were vacationing in the US. It was revealed to us that I have a condition called Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. It means that I look like a woman on the outside but my internal organs are that of a man and my genotype is XY. So I am essentially a man that looks like a woman. I even had to get my testes removed because of risk of cancer 3 years ago.
I have been depressed ever since then and I cannot have a relationship with anybody because I am so confused. My psychologist told me that I should choose a gender and get reconstructed towards that. But I am still not sure if I like women or men so that I can reconstruct my self towards that. Really don't know what to do..
This sounds like superstory, but trust me its real. Please be kind in your responses. Thanks

I can imagine what you nut be going through, conflict of emotions, personality amongst other things. However, I want you to know you are special and irrespective of what you are meant to achieve a special purpose in life, don't let nothing stand in your way. Don't ever feel intimidated or withdrawn, I know it's hard but you can do it! Consider the tons of people who have set change operations for the most selfish reasons, it's not the same with you. It's a decision nature has thrust on you, be brave to follow your heart with whatever decision you take. Trust me your family won't love you less for it, your true friends won't either and true love will surely find you as well.

Am almost certain you are doing well in other aspects of your life so don't let this one, mighty as it might seem weigh you down.

I wish I could give you a massive cuddly bear hug now and I sincerely hope you get to read this.
God bless you sweetie. Don't know if Stella would post it would have dropped my bb pin. I honestly don't have anything to offer you other than the emotional support you need to pull through this cos I know sometimes we just want to speak to someone outside of family and friends. I have had my own fair share of life's unfairness which had pushed me to the brink of suicide and extreme depression so even though it might not have been for the same reason, believe me when I say on that road you walk I have also walked. I love you honey and God loves you too. Chin up brilliant star, big hug.

    7. Your story has been on my mind since yesterday after I read it. I will only tell you that most things we deal with are in our minds. If we can tackle and align our thoughts with our desires half the problem will be solved. I will personally advice you stick with your female side as you've noted that you identify with a female down there. Breast wise you can always get breast implant surgery done as men also get stimulated via their nipples. When you meet someone serious you can tell them before any big steps are taken as having children of your womb might be difficult. But if you convincingly look like a woman, only half a pill left for the man to gulp down when you complete the story. I wish you well. I believe the God that created you foresaw your plight and still allowed you born so reach out to him to direct you with the master plan. you will have a good life. HugsXX

Dere used to be Trash cans all around the city but @ d begining of this Yeah d good doctor and his advisers thot it wise to take dem off. I forgot to add dat d trash cash were maintained by desopadec. Well right now d only trash can I have seen is inside Central Hospital warri which is not supposed to be used by other pple but for clinical waste. My sister ask dem wat we should do with our dirt? Eat it? Secondly dere is no good road in warri, u cannot drive for 5 minutes and not meet a bad spot. Walter Odeli, 3rd marine gate and first marine gate used to be access roads wen warri sapele road is blocked but right now d holes dere Can swallow a Toyota Thundra not to talk of a small kia picanto.

When I saw it,I had a good laugh cos I knew someone was trying to pass a msg across to d big head and guess what, both signpost @the beginning and end of the road were uprooted 3days later. Lol

  47. Bunch of self centered, greedy and corrupt political leaders. They are the reason for all the other problems the country is facing....epileptic power supply, kidnapping, asuu strike, unemployment........too numerous abeg!

  48. I also live outside Naija but realy there is no place like home but the thought of all the numerous problems facing our beloved country breaks my heart.
A lot of us nurse the dream of relocating back home at some point with our kids. There is so much our kids can learn from home because we truly want them to be proudly Nigerians and represent it well but how is that possible?
Where do you start to tackle the problems?
The light, roads, security, infrastructure, no jobs, etc....
And I am appalled at the stupidity of our leaders who are mostly money miss roads that just want to amass All the wealth they can for themselves and their unborn generation.
Sadly they fail to realise that you could have a lot of money and still be unhealthy. Money can't buy you wealth and money can't buy you class either despite the number of mansions or private jets you have. That's the truth..
    So sad...

If only we could channels the same energy used in criticing and complaining about jonathan and others and start thinking of how we can build a better NIGERIA collectively, then maybe we would begin to see the NIGERIA we all desire.
GOD BLESS NIGERIA, LONG LIVE THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC.

Stella you are fond of it and hour counterpart Linda too, just when I was beginning to enjoy the Karen Eloke Young's scandalous amazing transformation story, she took it off.

He/she stated all Blogger are guilty of her rant including Stella, and went ahead to say what Linda did recently, it's like stating a fact and calling examples to buttress your point. So what's stupid about her comment? She/he ended it with 'Love you sterra", doesn't that show clearly that the person knows this is stella's blog? Wo, Yaba Left beckons on you.

  53. am so pissed off at our aiports i could slap stella oduah right now......just came back from london and just getting out of the airplane to arrival i see 2 containers to hold water from the leaking roof.....of course the heat almost knocks you off while you go through the long traffic of immigration....it then takes you like 2 hours to get your luggage cos i hear they manually have to load the luggage on to the conveyor......then on top of that the immigration asks you what you have and then make you open your luggage when its not like you declared you were carrying food like its done abroad......meanwhile when i arrived london i found out my gold and some jewelry were missing, am guessing it must have been stolen during all the stupid checks and scattering your stuff.....

Then what the heck is with the immigration/custom officials always asking people for money? don't they collect salaries? they make you feel like you owe them a favour for doing their jobs....that pure greed and lack of shame.....there should be dignity in labour no matter how small......the minister should get her act together and make some tangible and visible changes at the airport.....remodeling my royal arse;;; when the content is rotten then painting the outside of anything is a bloody waste of our precious time.........space cannot permit me to rant on

Someone asked God to give the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear their loss and i am smh..."20 students feared dead" in Yobe as a result of BH bombings, Parents wailing, friends and family members are in shock...The atmosphere is tense and the air reeks of blood of the innocent. 'For how long will God continue to give families the fortitude to bear their loss? for how long will we continue to fold our hands and watch our dear innocent ones (family member, friend, colleague, and acquaintance) perish without even knowing how they became the victim??...And most of these are preventable occurrences? then you ask yourself; what is the "commander-in-chief of the armed forces" doing about all these ugly mishap?...How did things get to this level? When are we going to really be free from these blood sucking demons? when are we going to hear the last of these; bombings, maiming, accidental discharge, bribery, looting, etc? God please give us a true captain that can help steer this sinking ship...We look unto thee alone, dear lord : (

  61. I have so many things to rant about!

First, about our corrupt leaders and public officers!!!!!!!!

Second, ourselves! We Nigerians are our own problem! We complain about the society, and I ask, WHO MAKES UP THE SOCIETY? Not YOU &I?

Third, Bloggers! The double standard I see in blogs leaves me speechless! The most annoying is the pretentious and evasive bloggers! Also, the commentators who defend their idol-bloggers blindly without having an opinion of their own or reason objectively!

  63. Stella the customs thingy is what irritates me most! After you 've used like an hr to lie or step on the box for it to close, customs here in Nigeria just open up everything for u and can't close it back.If u 've more than two or three pairs of shoe, they tell u to go pay for customs duty.If they see chocolates in ur stuffs, kiss it good bye cos they''ll beg for it till u release it to them; infact, they beg a lot! It's so embarrassing.

  67. Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwaibom state is the most useless and unreliable governor in this country..All he does I recycle his past accomplishments.
They will be quick to tell the world about free education and how indigenes re sponsored for different educational programs but these are all lies. Law school students are supposedly sponsored with a certain amount of money and a laptop before proceeding to their various campuses. The names were pasted months ago. As we all know, Law School has started but finds are yet to be disbursed. The most shocking is about an indigene who was the best graduating student in Uniport, our governor made so much noise about sponsoring her post graduate education up to PhD level. Her name is also on that list and she was to start the September session at Coventry university. Till now, they have not disbursed funds and I am sure she has already lost the admission.
When we the law school students went to the ministry we were told that every paper work has been done and all that is left if for the give to sign the papers authorizing the release of funds. Till now, nothing. Today he is in Abuja, tomorrow he is in Israel on pilgrimage or attending a burial or wedding or some kind of meeting that won't allow him sit his arse down in his state and take care of business. Shameless Abuja governor.
    Aggrieved Akwaibom law school student.

  69. @ Madam stella, heard from an inside source dt chevron laid off 400 staffs last week due to financial crisis in the oil sector, also heard some major multinational companies are pulling out of Nigeria for the same reason. Can you please investigate more on this matter cos i heard alot of engineers in that sector are planning to relocate to another country as the oil sector is falling apart. Once the only thing holding Nigeria is in chaos, what then is left for my beloved country? I guess its time our voices are heard in this country, this must not happen to us. No way! please help investigate on this matter. Thanks

  70. Yes, allow religion to stop you from asking for a change in society. Give unto Ceaser biko nu.

Why the hell do I have to pay for a trolley when I get to the airport?

Why do educated Nigerians say things like "on a red shirt"? I appreciate the fact that as children you got/took whatever was handed down but surely you can engage in sore sort of personal development. if you say things like "on a bra" what will your children say? "I dranking it"? (Yes, that one gets my goat)

Why do the same people who complain about the lifestyle of the upper class, look down on you when you try to look humble, be humble and treat them with dignity? Well that fucking ship sailed a long time ago.

What happened to honesty and integrity in our society? Why are people so quick to lie and cheat and "sell out" at the drop of a hat? The same people ranting would do the same things as the people they are complaining about if given half the chance.

If anyone insults me, thunder fire you where you stand...

Why are we so quick to rain curses on total strangers? (Shrugs shoulders at this one sha)

    Nosey
