Generator Electrocutes Mr Ezingbe After His Landlord Cut Off The Flow Of Electricity.

The apartment of the deceased Ezingbe Daniel

A graphic artist with the National Mirror  Newspaper, Ezingbe Daniel, died from electrocution at his house in the Igando area of Lagos State after he attempted to switch on his generating set on Thursday.
According to what was learnt, he was having issues with the electricity in his house because his landlord cut him off power supply to his apartment for more than three months and he has been relying on his generator for power but he was not aware that his landlord had  restored his electricity.

“At first, it was his daughter that went to put on the generator and the generator almost electrocuted her. She later called her father that the generator was charged and when she tried to switch it on, the generator shocked her. That was how her father (Mr. Ezingbe) came to switch on the generating set but he was electrocuted instantly as he pulled  the rope.
“The shock threw him off balance and  slammed him on the floor. He died on the spot.”
The source added that the corpse has been deposited in a mortuary but the police arrested the unnamed landlord in connection with the death.
RIP Mr Ezingbe!

  3. What a sad news. The money he spent on fuel for 3months could have been channeled towards his electricity bill. So sad.

  14. Shebi if there was 24hours power supply in Nigeria, this man would have definitely seen 2014?

Tomorrow, Reuben Abati will start asking who wants to be a Nigerian question on power supply matters.

  16. RIP to the dead.
How is it his landlord's fault? If he was disconnected, it means he was owing and then again, is it that he doesn't have a proper power change over system in his house. From what I know, if he has been using the generator for 3 months, the change over switch should be on generator so the Nepa power will not be on to electrocute anyone. We should be very careful and mindful of these little things in the home because the results of the negligence can be fatal.

  17. I see absolutely no link between his landlord restoring Power and the Generator electrocution. The 2 work with different switches.

  20. First of all I want to say wonderful blog!
I had a quick question that I'd like to ask if you don't mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to
writing. I have had a tough time clearing my thoughts
in getting my thoughts out. I do take pleasure in
writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
are wasted just trying to figure out how to begin.

Any ideas or hints? Thank you!|
