Oshiomole Gives Little Girl Hawking Plantain Chips One Million Naira Cheque-Exclusive

Exclusive Story

Yesterday Tuesday January 7,2014 at New benin by Total fuel station in Benin City,Gov Adams Oshiomole and his entourage were passing by and as usual,he was on foot while his cars were on the move. …..

Some little children hawking (with their goods on their heads) saw him and began running  for their lives but a little girl hawking Plantain chips stood still because she was perhaps too sacred to run…..

Gov Oshiomole got to where this little girl was standing, looked at her and as everyone stood still and watched the outcome,he brought out his pen and wrote her a 1million naira cheque and threw her plantain chips into the air and people began catching them to eat.. Lol.

This story is real and you can take it to the bank.

Instead of telling her to go and die,he gave her one million naira cheque to go and live!

God bless you Oshiomole…I am beginning to fall in like with you sir!

  11. LMAO. Image laundering. Sorry, I still think of you as the "Go and Die" governor, no matter what your PR servants tell you to do to launder your image. Populist! Do you think a girl like that has ever been to a bank? Does she have parents or people exploiting her who will just disappear with the money? Will you follow up with her to make sure she 1. goes to school, 2. the money is invested wisely. Will you make it a priority issue to rehabilitate child hawkers, get them off the street, find out who's exploiting them and give them a solid foundation. When you've done all of that, instead of making a grandiose and utterly meaningless gesture to make people think you actually give a damn.

While I'm no policy maker and have no suggestions, I do hope he comes up with a tangible lasting solution. Paulette

  61. Oshiomole has been fixing schools in Benin since he became Governor. He has also tryed very much to elevate the public school system to the standard of private schools here. he has also employed some people even as unserious ones get sacked, he is human & cannot do everything. There are a lot of people who have grown up under the same conditions & their parents did not resort to sending them to hawk. Granted the government is supposed to provide for its citizens, we as individuals also have our roles to play pls lets not forget this.

  65. @Odigie Eric! U lie!!! I was there! It wasn't 50k but a cheque of 1million naira. That was what Gov Adams Oshiomole gave to the little girl. Security had 2 accompany her home for fear of the cheque being taken forcefully from her. I bet it was her BOLD & COURAGEOUS personality he admired. Because other little children hawking took 2 their heels but this particular little girl stood still. Do not accuse or insinuate SDK's Stories as exaggeration especially if u weren't there. Cos her Info's are always CERTAIN!!

    1. Oh Plz shut ur freaking mouth...hear urself so that the "cheque is not forcefully taken from her..."is it even possible to snatch a cheque that wasn't addressed to u,and go cash it in the bank....he gave her 50k,the touts started rushing the girl, then a man who wasn't dressed as security had to push her into a shop before she was mugged and oshimole convoy had long passed their way...I agree on one thing though, that he was on foot following the convoy...

He didn't give her 50k! He gave her a cheque of 1million naira. And 4 ur Info anyone could issue u a cheque with just the amount written & d signature. then u could write out ur name,in dis scenario if such a cheque gets into d wrong hand, the person could write his or her own name! D touts didn't rush her!! I have been issued cheques where I had 2 write my name on it by myself. And 4 ur Info I was there mbok
